I've been seeing posts in recruitment about people wanting to carry other people. How does that work, I'm confused.

There are people in this game who are VERY skilled and some even have a twitch channel. If you don't know what twitch is, it's a website where you live stream gaming videos and others will watch you. You can donate to keep the stream going and everything. It's really neat. Anyways, these VERY skilled players devised a plan that they will get more viewers and donations by carrying people to the lighthouse. Essentially, the skilled player will take 2 of his viewers who may not be as good as them and "carry" them to the lighthouse. It doesn't matter if the 2 players die because the very skilled player will just kill everyone else. I have read other comments and it looks like you don't know how Trials of Osiris works. In this game mode, teams of 3 will compete to achieve 9 victories on their card without getting a loss. In order to get a single victory, you must win 5 rounds in a single game. You win a round by eliminating all 3 enemies or in some circumstances, capturing a zone that spawns in the middle of the map when time runs out. The guy that "carries" the other 2 people can usually kill all 3 people. If you are being carried, your job is to mostly revive and, if you can, kill people. Trials of Osiris isn't like normal crucible. People are very VERY sweaty in this game mode and put on the most overpowered gear because it gives the best loot in the game. When you do achieve 9 victories without getting a loss, you have gone flawless and you can go to a place called the lighthouse and get the best gear. To assist you with getting this title of "flawless," there are little perks on your passage coin called boons. There are 3 boons that you can buy. Your first loss is forgiven, you get a free victory, and if you win your next match you will get 2 victories instead of 1.

12 AntwortenA carry is when a highly skilled player plays with the person that wants to be "carried" so that they can go to the lighthouse. In essence, a carry is a good player helping a less skilled (in most cases), or under-leveled player achieve something that they couldn't on their own.

7 Antworten"Well, when mommy and daddy really love each other..." A carry is when one person or persons assist a fellow guardian in reaching the lighthouse.
