In Iron Banner, I only stick to double capping, in normal Control I'll mess around. It's my way of having fun in normal PvP, as I don't treat it as something entirely serious.
Iron Banner is a different matter, I'll usually go in voice chat to effectively communicate with the current team I'm with so that double capping coupled with my invisibility strat flows smoothly. It does help quite a bit to be honest, rarely do I ever lose games if at least two pepple have mics and can assist me when I rush for B.
Edit: Also helps flipping the spawns if my team is caught in a disadvantageous position where they're getting constantly destroyed by trying to go to B.

Well then I retract my bitch statement. I only play trials and IB now because people in regular control do what I said and it's a loss everytime.

Flipping spawns normally disorients the team and does spread people out as you've mentioned, but I use it in such a way to get the team out of a sticky situation. Works wonders, go ahead and give it a try. If done correctly, you wont even need to go in voice chat.
