The problem with control, and one of the reasons why I don't play nearly as much anymore, is that people DO cap zones.................when the SHOULDN'T! There is a right time and place, and most definitely a wrong time and place to cap (the 3rd zone). I will always try and help cap a point, as long as it's one that actually needs captured. Half the time though you have these complete plebs that just sprint from one side of the map alllllllll the way across to the other side, flip the spawns while trying to cap, and screw the game for everyone. Control = most frustrating game type, lol.

The biggest problem, is that EVERY game type revolves around kills. Even "objective" modes. Control is just domination reskined, and the flags don't matter.
-
Umm domination is not control. Domination is like zone control. Controlling zones multiplies your score per kill in control Zone control however directly scores you points every few seconds for holding a zone like DOMINATION. in zone control kills mean literally nothing as long as you are in control of zones.
-
Did you read what I said? In domination, kills don't matter, period. In every destiny PvP mode, the ONLY thing that matters is kills. You could control one zone the whole game, and still win.
-
Or the clowns that think we always need to hold B. Some maps, it is best to hold A and C and let the other team have B. Played with a buddy recently who normally doesn't play PvP. On Vertigo, I told him to just worry about A and C since they are so close together and you can see both from one position (granted there is no cover). We held and we dominated.
-
Vertigo and the other map with portals is one of the few where you can cap A and C. Most maps you want B tho.
-
Yup, which is why I said "some" maps instead of "all" or "most" maps.

People don't understand how to look at a map and decide which zones are best to control. In their minds, it's something along the lines of: "Let's cap A on Shores of Time because I -blam!-ing hate using my brain!" "Why don't we go to the zone with the most enemies without our supers and feed them kills!" "Hey, mind if I flip the spawn, oh you don't want me to, well I already did." "We're winning, why don't I go grab zone A on shores of -blam!-ing time and ruin it!" "I'll just sit in the back of the map, get 3 kills for the whole match with 0 captures and call myself slayer (No offense to the actually good slayers, ;) you know we love you)." "I'm just an asshole." Wins "I'm not an asshole." Loses Control is so fun lol Don't even get me started on rift XD
Just a tad sarcastic
I actually generally find Rift to be better for me as a solo player. The objective is always the same and basically you can't ever go wrong picking up the spark. I like to just try and "fill in the holes" in my team, so if no one is running the spark I run it, if everyone is humping the spark before it spawns then I'm on slay duty, haha. The only thing that teams can REALLY screw up is to just completely ignore mid map/spark control. This does bug me, haha. Even if I'm just "slaying" I'm doing it to secure the area around the spark, not just skirting the edge of the map. Agree with all your control sentiments of course, lol. OMG shores of time, leave the A point FFS. If you own C don't freaking leave it!!!

Bearbeitet von SweetOrngVegRoot: 6/24/2016 6:02:50 PMlol, if you look at my match history, rift is the one I play most. It's fun because it's the hardest mode to camp in, if your team never gets the spark, you will not win. It's one the only modes where at least one 2 people need to play the objective. In the case of rift, you can have one runner and one slayer on a team and they'll destroy your team. I like to alternate between the 2. When I said don't get me started on rift, I'm talking about the players who try to get the rift everytime even though they're just going to run through the middle of the enemy and die. That and when nobody tries to protect the runner, I have to do it by myself while the entire team is back at the spark so they can race to be the runner (Then get wiped by a well placed super lol). And then you have people who just farm rift for kills and camp in the spawn waiting for the enemy to get the rift so they can use their supers and get a bunch of kills. And for whatever reason, 1/3 of my games are up against full fireteams, not always good teams mind you, but it can be difficult when your team isn't playing smart.
