There are more Strikers because Sunbreakers got nerfed to the ground. Remember how many Sunbreakers there were when the subclass was released? Remember how temporarily they were the Gods of pvp? Then they got nerf and titan main declared them unuseable. So Titan mains went back to the reliable Striker subclass. And Defender has never been a real threat crucible. So you say bungie does things based on their statistics? Well them nerfing Sunbreakers ultimately caused the rise of Strikers. It is their own fault and the answer is not nerfing another subclass. It is buffing Defender and Sunbreakers so people can have viable options to pick in crucible or pve.
