What is wrong with tripmines? I was popping out doubles and one hits earlier. Tripmines aren't supposed to be sticky. They are traps. Now that we hunters have to use them as traps we complain.
Then they shouldn't stick to the walls either then. For you, if they were supposed to also stick to people, they should have been called "Sticky tripmines that glows really far" ? That semantic warfare is ridiculous.
-
They shouldnt stick to walls? Seriously. Tripmines were a two in one grenade. What other grenade can stick to the wall and trap people and stick to people? One of those had to go. Does it make sense for them to take off the trap function instead of the sticky function? Considering the fact that they are traps, they did the right thing.

The problem with this is, the trip mine is an area denial grenade. It should kill one hit. It's a mine, not a grenade. A mine that is made to wait for an unsuspecting guardian or enemy and blow the living fluck out of whatever tripped it off. Simple. Right? To start, it didn't kill everything in its path. Many guardians and enemies have survived a trip mine, now most survive a trip mine unless they have little to no Armor. The spike grenade is now more deadly. The void "spike" Grande is now more deadly. The trip mine is much like those, but now it does less damage... How does that make sense. A trip mine is made to catch the unexpected. If your aware of your surroundings, you see the flashing red light to warn you of pending danger. You turned the trip mine into a flipping flashing flare. What are you doing. If you have any skill, it wasn't an issue before. Now it doesn't matter about skill.
-
You are not making any sense. If tripmines can't be sticky why can you still stick them yo walls ? They should bounce to the ground then.
-
Ok. So i assume that the actual sticky grenades should stick to walls according to your logic.
-
You are the one making arbitrary rules about what should to a tripmine. Thing were fine for me before the update. Even if I don't mind the damage reduction.
-
No other grenade is two in one. Why should tripmines be
-
Hunter is the only class that can't have an overshield using a melee ability neither. You should complain about things like that too if you want the three classes to be have the same advantages. But you are right, there is one fun grenade to use in the game, let's make it dull because the other classes have no equivalent.
-
It makes no sense for them to get an overshield. They are not a tank class like the other two. They are based around fast movements and speed.
-
Yet Titan skating nullifies your argument. They're a tank class and the fastest.
-
Who complains abput titan skating being overpowered though?
-
Oddly there are threads on it hehe... None the less it's not about being op it's about the fact that Hunters are not the most agile class as was your assertion (understanding there's more to agility than just outright speed). Personally I think all the characters/classes have identity issues. None behave the way you'd expect given their core qualities IMHO....
-
Yeah. I think a warlock with the ram can outank a titan.
-
But what makes warlock a tank class ? Overshields. Then why can they blink, and have rather high agility ???
-
Dude. They can tank as much as a titan which has max armor.
-
So they have got everything. Nice.
-
Slowest class in the game.
-
And highest recovery too, many perks that warlock
-
Warlocks melee is bullshit too. They just have to hit to get a shield.
-
What ??? That range on melee is bullshit ? Not even need to be charged. Blink+shotgun+melee great warlock combo
-
Have you seen the max on the stormcaller? My god thats ridiculous.
-
So why nerf the damage as well as removing sticky functionality?
-
Sticky shouldnt even have been a thing. The real sticky grenades dont stick to walls and wait for people to walk by, so why do tripmines get two different ways to kill. Last time i checked, tripmines are traps. As the the damage reduction? I havent noticed it since the patch. My tripmines are still destroying people.
-
Because Bungie catered to low-armor trash. I would be OK if sticky was removed. But nerf damage? No.
-
Didnt they nerf it by like 3 percent? I havent noticed the difference yet. Ive only played about 5 matches on my hunter and things have been perfectly fine for me. Maybe im facing low armor people? I dont know.
