A titans view on why hunters needed this nerf.

To start off. You guys got this nerf, and i will cut to the chase. Hunters are the only class with a projectile melee charge on two subclasses Hunters get keen scout as innate ability Hunters get evade without having to waste an exotic slot Hunters get blink for shotgun use Hunters get innate fleetfooted perk for shotgun use Hunters get backstab and innate quickdraw perk Most of your supers are roaming supers which allow you to activate super safely The wombo combo was a monster entirely. I listed every advantage hunters have unique to the three classes. You werent the only class to recieve nerfs. Viking funeral nerf changed the meta for sunsingers. Dont pretend bungie hates you. Hunters have effectively been brought down to the same level of warlocks and titans. Feel free to dispute. But hunters are arguably the best subclass to use in pvp (as of yesterday) Edit: to clarify. My personal position is not included. I can SEE why you needed the nerf, though i dont agree with all changes. Thanks!

Also, to be frank Throwing Knives aren't exactly easy to hit in PvP. And Smoke, yeah it deserved the nerf, albeit not lethal on it's own, basically it felt like you were stuck underneath a fishing net while being blinded, which is weird, it's smoke, not a net. (Also, Backstab is now even more broken than before, sometimes still proccing from the front and sometimes not even proccing from behind even if you are dead centre behind them.) But hunters are arguably the best subclass to use in pvp (as of yesterday)[/quote] Hunters are not a subclass but that's besides the point, we have 3 very diverse subclasses (as do Titans) that are all 3 very effective in PvP, but as mentioned before, all subclasses have their pros and cons. I'm sorry you're Defender subclass isn't getting much action in PvP. Now on to some other things Titans (and by some degree Warlocks) have going for them over Hunters: -You both have multiple ways of getting Overshields, Hunters cannot get an Overshield by themselves. (Stealth is pretty bonkers in PvP, anyone with a trained eye can easily spot them, and stealth in PvE is redundant there is absolutely nothing only Hunters can do or solo that Titans and Warlocks can't do because of stealth.) -You both can get max armor, Hunters can't even get close. (You can survive our sticky grenades, but we can't survive yours or even our own.) -You both have either an Exotic or Perk that allowes you to hold yourself in place in mid-air. -You both have Year 2 Exotics with the Special Ammo perk, which gives more ammo at the start of a match than the generic weapon specific ammo perks. Hunters do no have such an Exotic in Year 2. -Titans have an Exotic that gives an extra grenade charge regardless of subclass. Hunters only have an Exotic for Tripmines and Warlock even have multiple Exotics for multiple Grenades. (All three classes have an Exotic that gives an additional melee charge.) (Hunters and Warlock do however have Exotics that grant Full Grenade Energy on Respawn, Titans don't.) -Titans have an Exotic that gives 2 perks, not just 1, but 2. (Helm of Inmost Light) -Titans have Exotics that gives them an [b]ability[/b] (I don't mean just an effect but an actual on use ability) outside of their Subclasses (Twilight Garrison, Empyrean Bellicose). Where as Hunters and Warlock only give perks or abilities already part of a subclass. -Outside of the Melee Override ability Hunters have the shortest basic melee range at 4.0m, Titans have 4.5m and Warlock are at 6.0m. -Titan skating for shotgunning, albeit slightly less effective than Blink it doesn't impose a hefty penalty on weapon ready times and doesn't have a cooldown. Now I do believe that these updates are for the better of the game. I have to. How silly some of the changes may seem. If I don't believe, I would sweat, cry and poop salt all day long because I can't unicornify my enemies anymore with Tripmines. I will just have to adept and show you Titans that even the most gruesome looking patches will never slow us Hunters down. RIP Unicornifying 2016 #unicornifying2016
