They acted as stickies for TWO YEARS. They have stuck to everything and everyone has been ok with it for so long, and now that bungie says that "that's not how they were intended to be used." Everybody is suddenly ok with it? That's bullshit, and you all know it, if they weren't intended to work like that they would have changed them a month after release. Not to mention that they actually took skill/luck to stick to people because they had NO AIM ASSIST.
Okay I'm sorry for the confusing title. I'm basically saying that if it's supposed to be a trap then there shouldn't be such a huge indicator of where it's been placed, that's all I'm saying

A trap isn't supposed to have giant flashing red light. Even the Fallen's trip mines are better. The ones in the wall are perfect. If trip mine is going to be used as a trap, it shouldn't be so goddamn noticeable. Bungie, if your going to force us to use it as a trap, make the trap actually surprising.

1 AntwortenStop whining, I'm still killing people with it. It's all timing and placement. It's like using claymores in COD and someone is wearing flak jacket. It's not that big of a deal. You can't count on it to be a kill every time. If that was your strategy before then it was the wrong one.
-
I am fine with it not sticking. I never threw them as stickies anyways. I honestly did feel they were better as traps. I aljust don't understand the damage nerf. Tripmines already don't OHK anyone but low armor guardians. Now they don't kill anyone. And for that matter, why is Incendiary Grenade do less damage over time, now? It used to do 7 per tick, now it does 4.
-
I agreed with you. If they are meant to be traps such as the smoke grenades then fine don't have them stick to people, but get rid of the stupid red light and increased the damage by 3%. This nerf was so stupid.
-
2 AntwortenDo not put them where they can be seen then. If you are imaginative, you can find some excellent places to put them.

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von sniperheadshots5: 6/16/2016 7:39:17 PMTrip mines were fine I'm ok with getting killed by a trip mine because they take skill to use. But it's ok to make a grenade that can take away your super In one throw (Suppress Grenades). I was really starting to like this game but bungie ruined it for me. Also they buffed Blade dancer which was always a pain in the ass to fight, they get invisibility, skip grenades, electric slide, and blink I mean come on, why change what doesn't need to be changed.

Yet again the hunters gets the short end of the stick.

14 AntwortenYou have the dumbest logic ever. Trip mines are intended to be a trap. That's why the word trip is in it. Trip literally means an action that causes a reaction. Thus you trip the mine and the mine explodes. That is why it is called trip when something causes you to fall.
-
2 Antworten"Tripmines are NOT traps. A trap wouldn't have a damn beacon on it." Tell that to Kapkan..
-
3 AntwortenYes the light is to bright.... or it should be like a constant small laser or something like other fps trip grenades. But I don't understand why people are complaining that they are not sticky grenades anymore. The things are called TRIPmines. It is in the name. Lol!!! You trip over the mine. You do not stick a TRIP Mine to a person's face.
-
1 AntwortenA trip mine with a bright light that blinks. I dont think you can get more stupid than that. Incase bungie is looking for future updates, I will make a suggestion. Ok so first we got trip mines with lights to show you where they are, snipers that shine flashlights at you when they shoot. I think we are missing something.. Active camo beacons. I believe we need to make an aura that glows red around you when active camo is on. Or perhaps a spinning red light on your helmet, when active.

4 AntwortenDo you need tampons?

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Jykeous: 6/16/2016 7:02:53 PM
A trap wouldn't have a damn beacon on it
This in a game where resurrected warriors wield space magic, voodoo guns, and destroy alien species to protect a giant white ball. But you're right. The Tripmine's beacon is the most unrealistic and illogical part.
I don't mean to be rude, you have a good point. I just couldn't resist :)
Trip Mine Sounds like a trap to me
i mean
-
3 AntwortenIt's a tripmine, not a trapmine. You're supposed to place it on the floor.
-
The beacon is a tad too bright, I agree with that
-
1 AntwortenBearbeitet von DSharp018: 6/16/2016 6:12:45 PMI'm a little sad about it mostly because a few patches ago bungie made tripmines deal more damage when stuck to an enemy. Sure, you ran the risk of blowing yourself up more, but the extra damage was very much worth it.

Take your nerfs like a man scrub!

I've run trip mine as a main for a long time & have hundreds of "get it off" medals. I never play crucible without amkaraha (spelling?) gloves providing the extra trip mine. As to your post title - trip mines ARE in fact traps, I've used them that way countless hundreds of times. It's all about where you place them & timing. This is one thing I'll claim as mastered in pvp. They can still trap effectively, but folks using trip mines are now forced to camp those placements more than before in case full health guardians/multiple guardians jump into your trap zone. Fact. Multiple trip mines placed on a single site can still be effective, but to a lesser degree. Fact. I'm now being forced to change my way of play, yet again, for the sake of new players Bungie wants to keep interested in pvp. I suppose I'll experiment with a different load out, but honestly, this is the first time I am feeling I'll wait and see what the September D2 will be like after it's released before I buy this product. I want to see what the so-called new crucible playlist is like, and what changes they will have before I commit to it again. I use to not give much credit to those that felt this way, but enough is enough......it's finally caught up to me.
-
2 AntwortenI agree, they where ok as they where. And the argument that they where over used? Make the other grenades better is my answer.
-
I find it hilarious that hunters are using the "it's been that way for this long of a time!" argument in an attempt to prove their point, where as any titan that claims the same thing about shoulder charge gets told to shut up because "reasons".
-
"It's a trap!".....Admiral Ackbar, Star Wars Return of The Jedi.......LoL
-
10 AntwortenI've always use mine as traps....doorways, walls trying to control choke points. If you solely used them as a crutch sticky nade then shame on you.....go look in the mirror because you got it nerfed.

Omg another salty hunter...
