They acted as stickies for TWO YEARS. They have stuck to everything and everyone has been ok with it for so long, and now that bungie says that "that's not how they were intended to be used." Everybody is suddenly ok with it? That's bullshit, and you all know it, if they weren't intended to work like that they would have changed them a month after release. Not to mention that they actually took skill/luck to stick to people because they had NO AIM ASSIST.
Okay I'm sorry for the confusing title. I'm basically saying that if it's supposed to be a trap then there shouldn't be such a huge indicator of where it's been placed, that's all I'm saying

Ya they need to remove the giant red flashing sign that says "DONT WALK HERE IM A TRIPMINE" that and they should just make it stick again but hey what do i know

55 AntwortenA sniper rifle wouldn't have a bright ass light on it broadcasting your position to everyone on the battlefield either, funny how things in video games don't work how they would irl huh?
-
They are traps they only have a beacon to give a slight chance of avoiding them
-
3 AntwortenBungie using now different glue for them it sticks anywhere but not on players! Players are covered in massage oil so Bungie can give them a massage after each crucible match

Sheesh. Someone's a little butthurt

Of course, snipers shouldnt have a red light on their scopes. The red light is a light, not lens flare.

If anyone is just crucibling today.. I'm giving it a go looking for.some people to chat with lol Devohagen.

I agree, there shouldnt be a red beam.

72 AntwortenBearbeitet von Spaceman: 6/16/2016 8:07:01 AMStop crying... you had a grenade what was both a sticky and a trap. Bungie made it fair. If you want a sticky grenade use your damn Flux grenade. No grenade should be that versatile and powerful. You never heard Titan's complain their Lightning Grenade never stuck on. Bungie did right on this one.
if they weren't intended to work like that they would have changed them a month after release.
Of course they were intended to work that way on release. But, after two years of Tripmine being far and away the best choice for a Gunslinger, Bungie decided to change how they function. No one thinks they were fixing a glitch with that, just balancing it with the other GS grenades.

3 AntwortenEvery competitive PvP game has some visual aid for spotting traps. Either the trap itself illuminates, sticks out in some extra manor from the background, or there is gear/equipment that spots them for you. It is unreasonable to expect Bungie program theirs any differently. It's simply par for the course.

1 AntwortenIf it didn't have a beacon then you would think it was a dildo.....just sayin
-
6 AntwortenLies It's not easy to see and the beacon rarely shows up Maybe once a minute

Yeap, "Flux grenade" is the one that attaches to enemies.

Honestly with the amount of times I've known a trip mine was close, couldn't see it, tried my best to avoid it, but end up being 1 shotted by it anyway, even with Max armor, I'm glad they changed it up.. I always thought the red light was too hard to see and that they needed to make it brighter or even add a grenade indicator with an arrow so we know which was to run lol... Havnt played since the update so I dunno how bad its been changed but from what I've seen on the forums, it seems like they messed it up pretty bad... I'm glad its nerfed in a way, because I use incendiary over it anyway lol, but I always have been and always will be against nerfs in general... The only way to fix things is to buff things simple as that

10 AntwortenBearbeitet von HeartStrong07: 6/16/2016 9:36:44 PMI play all three classes but the whole Hunter Tripmine nerfing has me taking a break from Destiny.... I had really armored and perked around Tripmines.. I just thought they were so much fun... Been using them nearly exclusively since the Vanilla game .... Have not played since the update and gonna try to not play for at least a week, and then find something else I enjoy similarly.. I love playing the game, just gonna miss what I enjoyed most about the game..

Bearbeitet von Dr_Cornwallace42: 6/17/2016 6:11:51 AMI think they call those fusion grenades... The ones that stick (or flux, or magnetic)
-
I always thought they were meant to be on a wall just as an enemy passed by.
-
2 AntwortenI think anyone dumb enough to run into the light should get killed by it, honestly.
-
Bungie logic. Allows bullshit tracking instant auto kill Fusion grenades but nerf the one grenade that has travel time and hardly was viable for a stick in most situations.

4 AntwortenI think this the first person I've seen talking about tripmines post- nerf who has a good point. If its meant as a trap then why are they so easy to spot? I doubt its so the player who threw it doesn't walk into it, If you placed a proximity bomb you better remember where it is.

It is extremely tough to see without the huge indicator, especially with all of the designs in the walls camoflauging it.
