A titans view on why hunters needed this nerf.

To start off. You guys got this nerf, and i will cut to the chase. Hunters are the only class with a projectile melee charge on two subclasses Hunters get keen scout as innate ability Hunters get evade without having to waste an exotic slot Hunters get blink for shotgun use Hunters get innate fleetfooted perk for shotgun use Hunters get backstab and innate quickdraw perk Most of your supers are roaming supers which allow you to activate super safely The wombo combo was a monster entirely. I listed every advantage hunters have unique to the three classes. You werent the only class to recieve nerfs. Viking funeral nerf changed the meta for sunsingers. Dont pretend bungie hates you. Hunters have effectively been brought down to the same level of warlocks and titans. Feel free to dispute. But hunters are arguably the best subclass to use in pvp (as of yesterday) Edit: to clarify. My personal position is not included. I can SEE why you needed the nerf, though i dont agree with all changes. Thanks!

Also, to be frank Throwing Knives aren't exactly easy to hit in PvP. But hunters are arguably the best subclass to use in pvp (as of yesterday)[/quote] Hunters are not a subclass but that's besides the point, we have 3 very diverse subclasses (as do Titans) that are all 3 very effective in PvP, but as mentioned before, all subclasses have their pros and cons. I'm sorry you're Defender subclass isn't getting much action in PvP. Now on to some other things Titans (and by some degree Warlocks) have going for them over Hunters: -You both have multiple ways of getting Overshields, Hunters cannot get an Overshield by themselves. (Stealth is pretty bonkers in PvP, anyone with a trained eye can easily spot them, and stealth in PvE is redundant there is absolutely nothing only Hunters can do or solo that Titans and Warlocks can't do because of stealth.) -You both can get max armor, Hunters can't even get close. (You can survive our sticky grenades, but we can't survive yours or even our own.) -You both have either an Exotic or Perk that allowes you to hold yourself in place in mid-air. -You both have Year 2 Exotics with the Special Ammo perk, which gives more ammo at the start of a match than the generic weapon specific ammo perks. Hunters do no have such an Exotic in Year 2. -Titans have an Exotic that gives an extra grenade charge regardless of subclass. Hunters only have an Exotic for Tripmines and Warlock even have multiple Exotics for multiple Grenades. (All three classes have an Exotic that gives an additional melee charge.) (Hunters and Warlock do however have Exotics that grant Full Grenade Energy on Respawn, Titans don't.) -Titans have an Exotic that gives 2 perks, not just 1, but 2. (Helm of Inmost Light) -Titans have Exotics that gives them an [b]ability[/b] (I don't mean just an effect but an actual on use ability) outside of their Subclasses (Twilight Garrison, Empyrean Bellicose). Where as Hunters and Warlock only give perks or abilities already part of a subclass. -Outside of the Melee Override ability Hunters have the shortest basic melee range at 4.0m, Titans have 4.5m and Warlock are at 6.0m. -Titan skating for shotgunning, albeit slightly less effective than Blink it doesn't impose a hefty penalty on weapon ready times and doesn't have a cooldown. Now I do believe that these updates are for the better of the game. I have to. How silly some of the changes may seem. If I don't believe, I would sweat, cry and poop salt all day long because I can't unicornify my enemies anymore with Tripmines. I will just have to adept and show you Titans that even the most gruesome looking patches will never slow us Hunters down. RIP Unicornifying 2016 #unicornifying2016

        • You're pretty much wrong on every count. 1. So what if Hunters have two ranged melees? Strikers can ohk with shoulder charge and get AOE with their regular melee, Defenders, Sunsingers and Voidwalkers get an overshield from melee, Stormcallers melee has massive range and Sunbreakers melees are pretty much guaranteed to recharge. Why is there a specific issue with hunters having projectiles? They need them cos their the only class that can't get their health back from a melee hit. 2. No they don't. Its a perk, and its not even that useful, and using it takes away shadestep. 3. Hunters are the only class to have an evade - Warlocks are the only class that can revive themselves, what's your point? There are supposed to be key differences between the classes no? 4. Warlocks get blink, titans can skate. This point is irrelevant. 5. Do you know what innate means? Its a perk on one subclass, and if you use it you lose another perk. 6. See point 5. And whats the problem with backstab? Its just a melee ability like any other and it also takes up a perk. 7. Supers, believe it or not, are different from class to class! Every other class has a roaming super, a support super and a AOE super. Hunters have one support and two roamings, both of which have low armour. Both the titan and the warlock get virtual invincibility when they cast their AOE, most hunters get killed as soon as they pop theirs. 8. Wombo combo was no worse than warlocks spamming firebolt grenades. Basically, if you think you can understand why Hunters needed a nerf its only cos you've clearly never bothered to even look at the subclasses. Most of what you say is factually innacurate, and the things that actually are true are just statements of fact where you point out that hunters have some abilities that other classes don't. That's how it should be! The only things that may have needed some adjustment was shade step and the smoke/grenades combo. Every other nerf was totally unneccessary.

                    The fleet footed perk is also available in the striker subclass under a different name. QuickDraw and fleet footed are in the same tree. Titans never should have had an evade especially since they have the highest armor stat. Warlocks also have blink. Every class has two roaming supers. Every class's melee ability does increased damage, warlocks are the only class that doesn't have a ohk melee ability

                            • Dude ur a -blam!-ing titan lover... out between the titan and hunter atleast -blam!-ing titans get 5 to 6 shot on their hammers which should be 3 since golden gun only has 3. It takes alot of skill to throw a -blam!-ing knife long distance or even at mid range if you can aim that far and lastly now hunters sticky trip mine is gone it's unfair thay warlocks and titans get sticky and not hunters so stop whining and be -blam!-ing happy your precious stupid titans got buffed for sins ingres and fist of panic

                                • Reasons your logic is flawed: Titan melee destroys hunters. Warlock lunge melee really destroys hunters. Not every hunter uses shot guns. Arc blade and golden gun are the easiest supers to shut down. Hunter melee doesn't even take down Titan or warlock shields. Hunters still use exotic slot for evade. Hunter range melee is only advantage we have against Titan and warlock melee. Hunter throwing knives takes some aiming. Hunters don't have extra agility anymore. Any advantage hunters had is now gone. Titans and warlocks now require absolutely no skill to beat hunters. Titans and warlocks didn't really need any skill to take down hunter in the first place. Hunters are useless now so what else do you have to say?

                                  • I'm personally fine with the nightstalkers changes as a warlock. I'm just kind of feeling a little WTF about the tripmines change. If I get stuck with a tripmine. Good job. I'll take the death. Overall I'm happy with this update. Sunsinger nerf and all.

                                  • Another Titan here and I gotta say this. I wish we never had nerfs to begin with. All these nerfs truly hurt the game especially pve. No class or weapon deserve it shit needs to stop.

                                  • Titan main here. Only things that needed addressed were smoke, shadestep and back stab procing from the front. I don't feel like shadestep was addressed in the right way either, disabling tracking was always my issue with it. Being able to do it twice in a row was fine. They brought some skills up to compensate, but some of it was overkill. I actually thought tripmines could have used a slight buff before this to make them a little more consistent when stuck to a wall.
