The *New* Way Bungie Changes Things, and How It's Fundamentally Wrong

So, I just read the subclass and weapon changes. I won't be ranting about those changes. Instead, I'd like to draw special attention to a sentence in the paragraph about sunsingers. "Sunsingers, while not out performing other classes, are still creating frustrating encounters." Basically, this literally translates into "Sunsingers are not more powerful than other classes, but are obnoxious to fight against." This ideal that brings upon the downfall of firebolts is fundamentally flawed. Essentially, they are changing the balance of the class not based upon the actual balance of the class in relation to others, but based on how obnoxious they are. This philosophy is so flawed I can't even begin to explain why. Please help me out here. Let me give you an example: "The Fourth Horseman, while not out performing other guns, is still creating frustrating encounters." This philosophy is quite literally, "Something is not overpowered, but it is obnoxious. Therefore, it should get nerfed." Think of how flawed this is. Imagine the endless balance patches and changes that will result not from something being overpowered, but from something being obnoxious. Think about that. Yeah, I'm a sunsinger. Yeah, I'm pissed about the changes. Not becuase I don't think they should be nerfed. I'm simply upset at the reasoning they give. It's a pathetic excuse and opens the door for more things to be changed with the same excuse. It's upsetting, and we should be careful about this sort of thing moving forward.
