Screw Gally... I want Icebreaker!
Today I pulled my Icebreaker out of my vault for the first time since the start of the taken king. I played a few matches of crucible and all of the year 1 nostalgia just came back. Sign here if you want the Icebreaker in Rise of Iron too.
EDIT: I hope someone from Bungie likes the Icebreaker as much as most of us do.

And to the people saying that it would be OP in trials: When you die the ammo count is reset. Therefore if you die you will struggle after being revived. Also each round the ammo resets.
EDIT: KPoppin says - Having the gun be brought up to Year 2 values would have no effect on PvP. You can still use Icebreaker in PvP right now and it for sure isn't "dominating" right now. Worried about Trials? Don't. Icebreaker has an extremely long scope which is even longer now due to the nerf on snipers. Also, the increased the recoil (which was already crazy) So now you have a crazy long scope with insane amounts of recoil, and no unflinching. So...unless players have no idea how to not stand still in the middle of a sniping lane, i think everyone will be fine.
Edit: Just tried it out in trials. It is still effective now so why not bring it forward. It can even rez snipe.

The Gally was forged by the Iron Lords and it is an update based on the revival of the Iron Lords so there is no way the Icebreaker is coming back in this update

No, the way the game is now Ice Breaker would just be so "BROKEN" in the current game.

1 AntwortenSame. It was my first exotic and by far my favorite. Bungie has nerfed it to the ground though but I'd still be happy to use it. It's really sad that Bungie is making all of its best exotics weak, and then any they can't nerf enough, they just leave behind.

1 AntwortenWhen Snipers get a Crucible only fix, then I will want Ice Breaker. What do I gain if I get my Ice Breaker back, but Bungie decides to nerf Snipers in PVP [u]and[/u] PVE? Until Bungie pulls their heads out of their Bungie holes and sees that we want PVP and PVE to get separate nerfs, I don't want Ice Breaker. Bungie will just ruin it, just like they ruined every single weapon that was OP in PVP, but barely functional in PVE! (That is to say, every single weapon they nerfed for PVP.) Yes, every weapon that got nerfed because of PVP is now complete trash for PVE! Separate the damn nerfs! I have to stop typing now, I'm getting upset.

My 1st exotic. 30min farm of the old loot cave. Legend engram... Ice Breaker. It's why I didn't buy Gally 1st time round. Why would I trade it out for a rocket launcher... was before I had 3 characters... Ice breaker basically made you "the go to guy" for bosses in raids and strikes early on. Especially early solar burn nightfalls with VoC and Hezen Vengance. I almost feel sorry for people who only started playing since TTK, they've missed so many awesome things.
