Screw Gally... I want Icebreaker!
Today I pulled my Icebreaker out of my vault for the first time since the start of the taken king. I played a few matches of crucible and all of the year 1 nostalgia just came back. Sign here if you want the Icebreaker in Rise of Iron too.
EDIT: I hope someone from Bungie likes the Icebreaker as much as most of us do.

And to the people saying that it would be OP in trials: When you die the ammo count is reset. Therefore if you die you will struggle after being revived. Also each round the ammo resets.
EDIT: KPoppin says - Having the gun be brought up to Year 2 values would have no effect on PvP. You can still use Icebreaker in PvP right now and it for sure isn't "dominating" right now. Worried about Trials? Don't. Icebreaker has an extremely long scope which is even longer now due to the nerf on snipers. Also, the increased the recoil (which was already crazy) So now you have a crazy long scope with insane amounts of recoil, and no unflinching. So...unless players have no idea how to not stand still in the middle of a sniping lane, i think everyone will be fine.
Edit: Just tried it out in trials. It is still effective now so why not bring it forward. It can even rez snipe.

20 Antwortenyeah your breath is stinky :p no butt cereal, IB is not an issue in PVP, its PVE thats the problem. people just sitting in some tiny little corner doing nothing butt shooting at the boss 1 bullet every 5 seconds. THAT is complete poop.

Icebreaker would be cool to have back, but it won't take my exotic slot over Gjally. Ammo regent is the only think Icebreaker has going for it, which was good really only in night falls with juggler. Remember it was outclassed by Black Hammer for a reason. Gjally was a powerhouse that had no other in its league. While I believe no exotic should be left behind, if they offered a choice between one or the other, Gjally is the better pick.

12 AntwortenI think Bungie's main issue with Icebreaker is how it changes the way Destiny players play PVE, more specifically the end game content like Nightfalls and Raids. Bungie doesn't want the player base to camp from far away where they are relatively safe where they can snipe at the enemy with a weapon that has unlimited ammo.

Icebreaker definitely had more situations where it was useful. Especially in nightfalls. Ghorn was a great boss killer. It will be interesting to see how powerful it is when it comes back vs the good machine guns we have now.

Icebreaker would be nice in PVE considering the rampant ammo shortage we suffer thanks to PVP...
