No. The Darkness believes only the strong can survive. Many people who are just trying to live their lives will get hurt because of it, and as such, it is my job, my duty as a Guardian to protect them from the pain in the world.

You are a fool to believe you can erase pain from them. They cause pain to themselves. I shall purge the weak and only accept the strong. You guardain. We will fight one day.
-
I don't believe I can do it by myself. But I have to try. I shall be a shield against people like you. I am the bacon in the fridge for all living things that cry out in hunger.
dammit, wrong series
-
Then we shall fight and you shall Fall
-
Evil only wins if good men do nothing.
-
Evil wins all the time in our today's world.
-
Just because it's a never ending battle, doesn't mean evil has won.
-
My friend, you will see the truth one day. Like the Titan that fell in world of war craft.
-
Sargeras? He fell because he could only see black and white, and the existence of black destroyed his worldview. Same thing as Sensui from Yu Yu Hakusho. They didn't understand that while great evil may exist, it doesn't invalidate the existence of great good.
-
A world of warcraft lore fan. Evil must rain. So order can be set. The good allows to much freedom. Death is the only freedom. Death is peace
-
Meh, it's interesting at times. And is the pursuit of order worth all that death and despair?
-
I love the lore. It's so op. And yes It is.
-
Lately I feel like it's going downhill some. But that's just my opinion. The Darkness's whole philosophy is similar to Shishio's from Rurouni Kenshin. "If you're strong you live. If you're weak, you die". It's a philosophy I could never support. If that's what you believe, then that works for you. But there will always be men who oppose that. If they're stronger than you, does that mean your philosophy is wrong?
-
No, that means they are using the same philosophy but reversed. If they are stronger than me I shall die or they shall. You protect the weak, I do now. I shall follow the sword logic and become death itself. I'll embody death itself.
-
Ooh, I like that you caught onto that. If that is the road you decide to go on, then so be it. But even Dredgen Yor wanted to be remembered for who he was, instead of what he became.
-
Of course, he had light still left inside of him. For I do not. That is the difference, this path is my own and I must follow it. To the end.
