Bungle.........You could have waited for Destiny 2, (which needs to be a far BIGGER, more fulfilling and feature packed game).......But no, you decide that ALL last gen players have done their money.....and that the 100's of Dollars/Pounds/Euro's/AUD etc that have been spent supporting Destiny since Beta/Year 1 isn't worth diddly squat!
That my years of supporting this game, and £100 spent is alright to say "cheers...but you aren't valid anymore......go buy a new console and re-purchase the game AGAIN!"....Is fine and dandy
The debacle with a £40 TTK (lacking in content), the ripoff silver 'pay to proceed faster' scam, LACK of dedicated Servers, matchmaking, total bias for PvP, and now the £30 ROI dlc.....
So if I jumped across the console (the money isn't an issue, just location & timing) that will be THREE lots of Exp1&2 and two TTK's ** £45 vanilla, £35 Exp1&2, £40 TTK....then the PS4/XboxOne (£250-£400) + TTK Disc (£30-£70) and ROI DLC (£30) - JUST to continue to play Rise of Iron (ROI)
Is this the first time that I hear "Guardian done!"
Probably!
Destiny (with my characters) is over for me in Sept - (you know ALL the previous DLC inc TTK will be like a Ghost town!)
ENOUGH of throwing my money at the screen!
Thank's for showing that we Year 1 (360/PS3) gamers financial input into this game was just worthless!
UPDATE.......
Thanks for those that understand, those that think along the same lines.......those that say Destiny should have ALWAYS been next gen....
and also for you salty bunch who think 'buy a new console', 'git gud' and 'scrub' are insightful comments.....
Its' not about buying a new console (I'll wait for the PS4 NEO announcement - I'd be mad to spend £300 on a lesser PS4/XboxOne)......Its about the vanilla and the last 3 DLC all being ok to cash in on....but now with RoI....this is a forced decision......lose my characters, and jump platform, and get the PS exclusives
happy hunting Guardians
Now the EURO 16 Football's on!

To be fair It is unfortunate but with the dropping of previous gen, the game can improve.

5 AntwortenYou paid about 100 bucks for 2 years of entertainment... That's pretty good chief

Bye Felicia

1 AntwortenIf money isn't an issue, then get the ps4 that comes with taken king then you only have to buy the $30 dlc. If you on 360, sorry you'll have to get new characters. You can rather pay for a new system or not. If you dont, good one less person complaining here. If you do, welcome to the better side.

Bearbeitet von Mustakraken: 6/11/2016 2:08:10 AMWow, I hadn't heard that your current content was going to be taken away! That's terrible! And, I mean, since you are saying the money you already spent has been wasted, you must be referring to losing it. Right? Just checked, you've got 16 and a half days of gameplay out of the game so far. All sarcasm aside, no matter what they do in the future, you got 2 weeks of entertainment out of what you spent already. That's an amazing return on investment even without RoI.

1 AntwortenThank you. This is complete bullcrap that Bungie is treating us this way. They expect us to go buy a new consle and buy the game and dlc all over again. They need to give us something, backwards compatibility or something like that.
-
Bearbeitet von Sosbanfawr: 6/11/2016 1:59:03 AMBefore you get too mad...TTK legendary edition is much cheaper than you've allowed for. Also if you actually read the update the PS3/XB360 are not being 'dropped', they're getting a cut-down version in line with their capabilities. Plus...you know it's not like Bungie are the only reason you should change console, so you can't blame them for that. Might as well rail about nobody developing for your Mega Drive.
-
2 AntwortenI always knew the only ones playing destiny were old gen. Makes sense the only way you would be playing destiny is if you can't afford new games. I you can't afford new games you probably couldn't afford a new console either To those that say you cant afford, you had years to stash a dollar a day

3 AntwortenI feel like they should of held off until Destiny 2 for Last Gen to be dropped but at the same time I feel like this was the right thing to do. We Current Gen needed an update/expansion only for us so we can see the potential Bungie can do without being constrained by the old hardware of Last Gen. This comment is literally the only comment that is not hating on OP.
Destiny community is amazing
-
8 AntwortenYeah they could've waited, and there would be no Destiny 2 because Microsoft would drop there ass faster than Charlie Sheen can say winning after 3 lines of coke.
-
1 AntwortenYou'll only have to re buy TTK if you bought the others digitally
-
2 AntwortenAgreed. Even though I own the next gen, I think it is shady to have the games life end on a next gen console. Ten year plan to fuk ppl out of money.

12 AntwortenDude, I'm a ps3 user so hear me out. Bungie's plan all along was to stop support of old Gen consoles in September. We knew this because the anticipation was that Destiny 2 was supposed to be released then. What we didn't realize was when the decision to push back Destiny 2 until 2017 they still kept the September support date on the books. During the same time they announced two other things. An April update and a future dlc set for a September release date. Now I think both the update and dlc were supposed to be one release. If you look at the update content and the Rise content you'll see that both tie in together. CoE ran by Fallen expert Variks and mutant Fallen enemies in Rise. I believe that CoE was supposed to be what gets us ready for the mutant Fallen. But now we get a yet to be seen Crucible mode which has nothing to do with PVE as a way to prepare ourselves for the mutant Fallen. Also the dlc price is less then the cost of a new game so they threw in micro-transactions into the update to help offset the difference in cost. I don't see how Rise is going to be able to take full advantage of current Gen consoles when everything that is already in the game was designed for all four platforms. All they are doing is painting a Ford Pinto Ferrari red. Even though it's the same color as a Ferrari, it's still a Pinto. We will have to wait until next year to drive the real Ferrari. In the meantime we all got screwed for not getting Destiny 2 this year.

3 AntwortenIt's time to move on unshackled.

1 AntwortenI'm a Beta player, and I've done just fine with upgrading to current Gen. I understand people make and manage money different, but it's not a huge deal. I made the upgrade a year or so ago, and I'll be happy through the release of Destiny 2 and it's DLC. Just thoughts man, I do understand your plight.

1 AntwortenOkay, first off, by the time Destiny 2 releases, we'll probably have 9th gen console. By Destiny 3, I'll bet PS4 and Xbone will dropped. Plain and simple. Time changes, and so does technology. For example, Halo started on the Xbox, and over time, as Bungie tried to make a better and better game, it was moved to the 360, and recently the one. Second, Destiny kind of forced its hand. With the game (at any rate now) not coming till Fall 2017 (which is good, it=a better game), they had to deal with finding a way to keep everyone occupied. The April update was a step in the right direction from the event based model, but there wasn't much meat on the bone there, so to say. Bungie would have liked to have gotten out a similar to TTK expansion, plus probably another smallish DLC/Event for fall DLC. The problem? They simply didn't have enough time and manpower (most everyone outside of the live team is working on Destiny 2) to create all that content for all four. Plus, there were inevitably some features that couldn't be added w/o dropping last gen, simply due to a lack of RAM. I don't mean anything against those who own last gen consoles, but it was better for the series. Work, and you can get your own. However, I do agree destiny should have probably started out as next gen.

3 AntwortenI have had this game since week one....i bought all the dlc separate and I still own all of it on the xbox 360. I bought myself an an xbox one and repurchased all the content....there is no -blam!-ing need to get all butthurt over the decision bungie has made. If you can't afford to upgrade then get a job or save your allowance whatever your situation.
-
1 AntwortenI've spent 200 on this game already. Buying a ps4 is 300-400 dollars plus buying destiny again. This equals out to $660 spent just to play 1 more DLC that's -blam!-ing redic. I see Bungie gor the money fiending assholes they are now.
-
2 AntwortenAnyone who upgrades because of Destiny is an idiot. The new ps and xbox drop next year, it would be stupid for anyone to buy one now. I don't care if the current only cost 200 and the new one is 500. You will be in the same boat later on. I'm pissed I bought a second xbone 2 months ago. Now they are both useless come 2017.
-
4 Antwortendid you seriously think they were going to support old gen for the full 10 year plan of destiny? you knew this day was coming and yet you still cry about it. just buy a new console and see what you are missing.
-
It had to happen eventually man. I understand being salty now, don't blame you. But, it was inevitable, and you knew that. Everyone has known it. Having that knowledge, you and anyone else are free to quit the game, it is what it is. Bungie was going to be forced to make this tough decision at some point and they chose this fall. They knew there would be backlash. Perhaps their thinking was that better now, rather than destiny 2. If you can swing it, get your ps4/neo, and keep fighting.
-
6 AntwortenBearbeitet von DeezTaters: 6/10/2016 11:45:44 PMThe PS4 Neo has already been announced. The PS4 Neo is going to cost a lot more than the current PS4. Expect it to be $400-600 if not more but I doubt it will be more than $600 http://www.polygon.com/2016/6/10/11902000/ps4-neo-confirmed-sony-4k

1 AntwortenCharacters, and all your progress will transfer. It would basically be like copying your game save to current gen.

1 AntwortenI AGREE! its not about buying a new console (im also waiting for the better version ps4 this winter) its about all of the input the 1st gen players had to put in this game, money, effort, time and then bungievision decides to drop us just to MAKE us buy the new console to contineu the game AND rebuying the whole game AGAIN (We all remember the dark below/hoise of wolves scam where we had to buy both,€20 each, but eventually if you bought TTK, €40, that INCLUDED the HoW and TDB dlc's! Finishline:€80) Why bring it out on the first gen if you were going to cut us off halfway through year 2.....? Why not wait untill destiny 2? I was a halo player back in the days fron combat evolved to reach to 5.....but in all my life i have NEVER seen bungie act so greedy and mindless(the nerfs, the so called better version of multiplayer, all the effort in year 1 guns that becane usseless, etc etc) as they're doing with the destiny game......so many pointless decisions so many mistakes and bugs, what happened? Did activision squeeze the good spirits out of you or did you guys just become plain greedy!? Like i said no prob with buying the new console (when the new version of ps4 comes out this winter) but why put out destiny on the 1st gen consoles knowing you would cut it all off BEFORE(Which makes no SENSE) destiny 2 comes out 2017? So i tottaly agree with this guy!
