PvP seems to be a hand cannon meta at the moment, people are destroying in crucible with hawkmoon/eyasluna etc. But autos are also performing really well. Pulses are still viable although not as much as they used to be. Its honestly pretty balanced in my opinion. There's always room for improvement but I'm actually pretty happy with it. PvE is just a matter of what you enjoy using, honestly pve is about fun not competition, you don't need the "op weapons" to do it, its easy regardless.
