I don't know for sure because I didn't get to read the details, but Microsoft released all the details today on XBL accidentally. It's gone now of course, but they always say which console their compatible with. If all else fails, follow the twitch tomorrow and ask.

12 AntwortenI like how so many comments have no empathy, understanding or consideration for other people's circumstances. Are gamers so universally blinkered and lacking in a basic awareness that everyone is different? Might just be kids I suppose. Anyway, I'm on PS3 and this will be the proper motivation I've waited for to upgrade. My real problem is my friends on PS3, they're the reason I've stayed this long.

Hardware limitations. Look at current gen; they're getting their own upgrades over the course of this year and next which sjows they aren't powerful enough. Last gen can only hang on so long and looking exclusively at Destiny it's a miracle it's stayed on these last two years. If they want to go bigger, then unfortunately it will get to the point where last gen can't handle it. The whole game has to handle all DLC and the base game at once, unlike most other console games. Hardware limitations mean last gen wouldn't be able to support that even at the state it is currently.

2 AntwortenNot sure if true or not. Haven't seen anything goes other than rumors on here. Yes it would suck for old gen players, but at some point it's gotta happen. Should it be destiny 2? Yes. But either way everyone should have been prepared by now considering most people originally thought destiny 2 was coming out in the fall of 16 anyways. Old gen holds the game back. There is no arguing that. Sorry to all the old gets getting left behind eventually but, but it will be nice to see what this game can be when it's on current generation only.

Bungie will potentially loose a fair bit of revenue from not allowing Old Gen from playing, but they have done well coding for 4 consoles. Maybe thats why we are getting the news Thursday to let Old Gen consoles a chance to purchase what they need to move on. We all knew this would happen sooner or later.

Uhh... That's what happens considering it was announced 360 and PS3 consoles won't have anymore games made for them. It would also kind of make sense to ditch last gen since they hold current gen back with every update.

Dude upgrade already it's been decade since ps3/xbox 360 came out. Ps4 and xbox one are coming up on their 3rd year. If you haven't noticed more and more developers are dropping last gen.

We are about 3 years into the new consoles. I feel for those on old consoles but it should not hold back those of us on the current gen. Time to upgrade.

Look man, I'm not believing it until there's confirmation, but if this is truly the case, then sorry, but its for the best. My entire reasoning for the upgrade to ps4 was that my ps3 was having MASSIVE problems keeping up with destiny, now I don't know if it was my console about to die or the sheer size of destiny and its dlc's, but I wasn't the only one in my friends list having dramas with it. If you can't afford to upgrade then that sucks dude, but if you can and youre just putting it off, dont. Because leaving last gen behind really is for the best.

On the bright side with the slims and shit coming out for current gen consoles there will be price drops for the consoles older models just put a little money aside each month for the next few months and pick one up

Maybe you should take that $40 you paid on silver and put in a CD so you can buy a PS4 in 15 years. Btw 360 players there's never been a better time to upgrade to PS4.

Sorry man, but your console has been holding destiny back 360 is loosing all xbl online support in 4 years, and no more new games are allowed to be developed in either platform
