Rise of Iron not for PS3 or XBOX360?
I hope it's still going to come for PS3 and XBOX360!

51 AntwortenI have never heard of a game that discontinues it's developing storyline on last gen, but continues it on next gen. I play on the 360 and in my opinion it makes no sense to discontinue Destiny's story on last gen. Doing that leaves us last gen players frozen in the destiny timeline. Here's a question for everyone who believes this DLC will be next gen only; What GAME CHANGING element could Bungie POSSIBLY be adding to this expansion that makes last gen irrelevant? How could Ps3/X360 be holding this game back at all? Gameplay? No. Mechanics? No. Storage space? I don't think so. Unless Bungie reveals something AMAZING tomorrow that limits the functionality of this game on last gen, there is no reason for them to drop last gen. Destiny 2? I expect it to be on next gen like everyone else.

Last gen probably cant handle the content in Rise of Iron. Old consoles couldnt even handle some of the emotes. Upgrade or deal with it.

We are at this point in the console generation where the ps4 and xb1 are rumored to have upgraded and more powerful versions of themselves in the upcoming future, and you say you want last gen to get the dlc, when the content of the new dlc is probably too complex for last gen to handle...... [spoiler]yeah, no. It wouldve sucked if they dropped it for TTK, but they shouldve dropped it sooner.[/spoiler]

Ps3 was a great console but its old now. If i still had mine id be on kz3 because pvp on that game was the best. This dlc is no doubt old gen compitible but destiny2 will be next gen only.

They are under massive pressure from Microsoft and Sony to stop producing last gen product. These companies are trying to stop supporting the older consoles. Bungie is giving you several months and probably some deals (yet to be revealed) to upgrade to current gen.

I understand that last gen console are obsolete... It's a 11 year old hardware FFS... I myself in and last gen user, still waiting for PS 4.5 But what I don't understand is why suddenly dropping last gen, I'm very okay for them dropping last gen for destiny 2, but now... It's like dropping your step child halfway through school because you hate them

As a lat gen player myself, I feel sad that I will not be able to play the rise of iron but on the other hand, I understand that Bungie has to let last gen go. I think this is a step in the right direction.
