Huge destiny fan/player here, but idk man, Bungie really has to make some awesome additions in order for me to fork up some more $$$
I'm looking forward to seeing what Rise of Iron holds, but I'm keeping my expectations in check.
Edit: did not expect this to pick up a lot of chatter! I'm really glad to see all of these conversations have been grounded and not trolly. I thank you for that. I'll be responding back to most of ya when I get back!
Edit #2 After the Stream: Alright, what they showed seems pretty neat. I'm interested to see the crucible side of things. Also that Hammer looks cool, but too bad it's not a Heavy Weapon.

Im waiting on those missing exotics from ttk that have had no mention from bungo or any of its reps. Also waiting to see how this whole new class rebalance works out. Im mad salty about bladedancer changes. Why only buff sunbreakers but nerf bladedancer?! Makes no sense

2 AntwortenAs someone who plays World of Warcraft, I am quite used to paying for yearly expansions so it isn't a new thing for me. Think of it this way, why should anyone get new content for free? The Live Events are one thing as they are patches/limited time events (the April Update being a Patch). As this is a new expansion of the game, providing a new year of content, that isn't going to be free. This money goes to the upkeep of the game (bug fixes, maintenance, updates) to keep it from being a mess.

7 AntwortenNot pre-ordering this time. I'm gonna wait until they announce something that I'm actually interested in playing. Also, I doubt that they would put Gally back in for pre-orders only. It has to be a drop in the game. And I'm not as hype for Iron Gally because of the nerfed ammo economy for rockets. It's a desperate Hail Gally (see what I did there) to get people hype for the expansion. I'm actually kind of shocked they went that far to get people back on the game.

Only thing i don't like, is ONE new strike lol smh.
-
Passing on this. Gonna pick up battlefield, titanfall, last guardian, and possibly final fantasy 15

If I were a questionable salesman, selling a product that I was uncertain of, I'd sell the hell out of it early and get your money before consumer reviews killed my sales and reputation. (Preorder now and get a Gjallahorn!)

Bearbeitet von CookieNiki: 6/9/2016 11:12:42 PMSame old, same old. Everytime a expansion is revealed the posts are copycats from the ones that were posted after the prior expansion reveal. And in the end I believe most of the people buy the new DLC nevertheless what has been posted and said.

The apprehension you are feeling is felt by many. The way I'm looking at it is that I've played Destiny since Day 1, purchased all DLC and Rise of Iron is the last instalment for Destiny 1. I will purchase it to see this original journey through to the end. Knowing full well the issues that continue to negatively impact the game. Now let's Fast forward to Destiny 2. I will NOT preorder this title UNLESS changes have been made and those changed have been EFfECTIVELY and EFFICIENTlY COMMUNICATED to me the consumer ahead of time. Finish this journey and we shall see if the Destiny franchise is worth continuing with? I've enjoyed it thus far for the most part BUT the beta has ended and the community has easily expressed the improvements that the game requires. It's now up to the Developer to decide.

Any discerning individual should be cautious buying anything from Bungie.

1 AntwortenIt'll be three or four 5-10 minute story missions. The strike that isn't PlayStation exclusive will be Sepiks Prime backwards with a red Sepiks. The weapons from the raid will most likely be reskins of POE weapons. Social area will go unused like The Reef. And it'll probably be the size of House of Wolves. Ghorn will probably be nerfed to the point that it'll be useless. Because they want this DLC to last awhile. I'll still buy it.

I started out on PS3. I upgraded to PS4, but didn't buy Destiny again. Even if it was going to be on PS3 I would have only bought it if it were $25 or less. Bungie, you just made it really easy to say, "No more Destiny for me."

1 AntwortenI already through my money at the screen
-
Have you watched the stream?
-
You see I'm still a little peeved about TTK did and haven't played much since then. So basically I'm going to just wait it out, and the buy the Dlc if I find it worthy of playing anymore. But if this new dlc can't bring me back I seriously doubt that I'll play this game. I never wanted to say this game is bad, because to me it isn't, it's just that it asks too much of me sometimes when I can have fun on other games. TL;DR: imma wait it out.

25 AntwortenThis is the problem with console gamers. This game is an MMO. Take WoW for instance. The expansions are not free, correct? Why would they be on this? You all signed up KNOWING this was an MMO. I can't stand the "give me everything for free" mentality of people today, the developers wouldn't be able to provide content if they didn't charge, so expect it. I will enjoy it.

Please set up a bungie account and link your guardians
-
Why would you not pay for rise of Iron it's all about me!
-
$30 for a full update *currently throwing money at the screen
-
Not me. I'm beyond hype. :)
-
I'll mostly get it because i like destiny. $30 isn't a lot, seeing as though i spent $21 on a pizza, breadsticks and a pepsi, which lasted 2 days. No doubt I'll enjoy the new content longer than two days. I do hope it's good and not crappy.

11 AntwortenIt's only thirty bucks. I'm not exactly going to be breaking the bank buying it.
-
I never bought the first dlc as the game was severely disappointing. I saw tkk brought it a little closer to what bungie promised us. If this next one does the same I'll buy them all. If just a few strikes and and a raid I'll continue not playing

I like it

As a Beta player, I was excited. I have Destiny and all expansions on 3 consoles for the family. Though fun, ultimately I was disappointed in the game. I'm waiting to see this time.
