Best second Pokemon
Imagene :
You're 8 years old in 2004 and you just got Pokemon leaf green or fire red.
You just got your starter and a bunch of pokeballs and you're ready to start your adventure.
You're new to pokemon so you dont really know much, but know that you're going to need 5 more Pokemon to become a master.
So who will your second Pokemon be and why?

Pidgey can be useful for a good while, can level up quickly against bugs in Viridian Forest, and Pidgeotto/Pidgeot can scythe through Erika and the fighting dojo. If you start with Bulbasaur, Pidgey isnthe best 2nd. If Squirtle, Pikachu. If Charmander, Mankey (but for god's sake get a Pikachu or a Paras ASAP)

I chose Chatman Der so... But Squirrel is a close second...if I got Squirrel I would go for a pidgey

Pidgey > rattata > Mankey. If we're going before the first gym then it's: Pikachu > nidoran > Pidgey > rattata > Mankey

3 AntwortenCaterpie because Butterfree wrecks with all of the status effects she's able to throw out. Butterfree has been in my team a number of times.

It's funny because in Pokémon yellow to silver I think I always had a Pidgey as my second Pokémon and in yellow it was my main . I'd get it all the way to Pidgeot usually. I think it's mostly because that's one of the very first Pokémon available for you to catch. Alongside rattata and Caterpie.
