Leading on from my last post on if trials is only for the Elites.
Lot of people say yes, however if its for elites then why have casual bounties.
The bounties in trials are pretty achievable. I ran with two 700-800 ELO groups over his weekend and both achieved all bounties in two cards taking about 1 hour of work (work in lose sense of the word).
The second group who were random of 100.io did not win a game, won a few rounds but kept f*cking it up on the finally.
If trials is for the elites as people say then why are these bounties even a thing and why are they not a lot harder to obtain.
Edit
The consensus seems to be no, trials bounties should stay.
I fully agree with them, however at the moment there aren't enough bounty hunters playing. Not enough sheep to keep the wolves happy, at the moment the bounty hunters who keep the wheels of trials oiled are not playing.
Bungie either needs to update the bounties or find some other incentive for the masses to try their hand at trials.

Sure, because what this game needs is for PvP to be even less rewarding. It makes sense that one of the most difficult activities in the game would only give rewards to a very small number of people who play that activity.

In your dreams. Trials will never be removed! Or a lot pple will quit destiny like myself.

1 AntwortenIf average players weren't able to achieve anything, then they wouldn't play. If they didn't play, then the 'elite' players would have to play each other and where's the fun in that right? Ask yourself this, when's the last time you played a fair match in Trials, in Crucible even? One way or another PvP games are lopsided, rarely, and I mean rarely am I in a competitive game.

20 AntwortenYeah they could potentially get the same weapon as you do from the lighthouse, it's a joke. Those weapons shouldn't be as easily obtainable.
-
1 AntwortenNo , those bounties keep enough people playing so you can get a match.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Andy-ALAW BEEP-BEEP: 6/7/2016 8:21:34 PMremove bounties then 90% of the player base will quit trials then people will bitch and moan at the sweatfeat

1 AntwortenBounties are for casuals, going flawless is for elite.
-
1 AntwortenSo that casuals still get SOMETHING from it. Lighthouse is for the elite, trials itself is for anyone with enough glimmer to buy a card.
-
1 AntwortenFor people like me. Those who didn't start playing pvp until every ass hat required emblems elos and whatnot to join. For those of us not precious enough to new in legit teams with a shot. You know non sweaty casuals.
-
1 AntwortenThe bounties are the only way for bad trials players like me to get anything out of it.....
-
1 AntwortenThe bounties are a carrot to drag in other competitors, who would not usually bother.
-
1 AntwortenMy old team quit and my new team, still people I know in real life, aren't very good but they're fun so we just go for bounties
-
1 AntwortenWhere to begin with this... Those bounties are content. You don't have to do them, those bad players can so maybe they have a shot at a "light" version of your Lighthouse weapons. How does it bother YOU why those guys have such a weapon? Because you get killed by it once or twice a match. You wanna play with just stats alone, play a turn based game.
-
1 AntwortenIt has casual bounties because if it didn't the "top" players wouldn't have fodder to stream with.

-
No, just no
-
I got Doctrine with counterbalance and since I left trials behind. Too much of a stress fest and time commitment.
-
1 AntwortenIt's gonna be the only way I get my Doctrine so...

Because prizes

To lead you into slaughter, if removed imagine the showers needed.

5 AntwortenI run trials for the bounties and some laughs with friends. If we make it the the lighthouse then it's a bonus.
-
1 AntwortenEasy Legendary Marks.
-
5 AntwortenI'm terrible at trials but I play every weekend. The only way to better yourself is play better people. Don't forget the top players started this game like anyone else but spent their time honing their pvp skills while some spent it on pve. All game content should be available to everyone who had the expansions. Just my thoughts tho 😀
-
3 AntwortenNo .. Then all casuals would disappear, less people playing will not make this game any better
-
5 AntwortenGives us who are not as good a pvp a reason to go into trials.
-
1 AntwortenIt's just not worth it man. I went to comment about it on your last post, and just deferred. Anyone who says this is for 1% of the people who play this game lack basic deductive reasoning skills which would tell them that trials makes up about 25% of weapons/armor outside of trials. To think that bungie would commit that kind of work force or finances to 1% of their player base is nonsensical at best. Then you will hear the it's the most competitive PVP in Destiny for the elite. This response may seem valid until you remember that Destiny is a p2p SBMM pvp, which means it is not a stable enough environment for an actual competitive PVP. Your skill is not the final factor in the outcome of games, latency and lag effect the outcome of a game which is not acceptable in competitive gaming. The only requirement to enter the Trials of Osiris is a certain level and passage. *Do note that trials is a new social area, another planet, 2 flavors about 6 different weapons (adept and not), and 2 different types of armor per class. Pair that with the fact that streamers carry people to the light house constantly, which are people not in the 1%, and you will conclude that Trials has become a monster since it's initial release and now only serves two purposes. To help streamers have a point of revenue in the game without hindering the constant maddening grind and to help drive the community to stick around. You will notice that much of the posts have people stating I used to go flawless so much in y1 but have not in y2. Did ALL of these players suddenly become not elite after an update? Is there something in the Destiny koolaide nerfing year one members to the point of the thorn?
The guy who created it was nerfed...Nerfed to the core
So watch this guys stream about destiny for a few months and hope to win a raffle or pay somebody and you will get there no problem, beyond that, I hope you "live on Mt. Wifi and sacrifice your old routers to the PVP gods..." - Kraftyy But Trials for the top 1%? If you do the math, 2/18 ( the number of teams to go to the light house per card vs number of teams playing (including mercy), is not 1%, it's 11%... I hope you find whatever light it is you are looking for at the end of the tunnel...
