Dear Bungie,
I don't understand a world where a Titan shoulder charge can kill me instantly but a throwing knife to the face doesn't. Which takes more skill to do?
Please show good shots some more lovin. We actually deserve them.
From,
A Concerned Gunslinger

1 Antwortenuse it for this week's challenge of elders... meele bonus plus precision bonus = happy round one use it on acolytes (obviously use knife juggler) round two use it on the psions round three use it on vandals, but hit each one with a mida shot first to stagger - makes killing with knife easier

12 AntwortenI highly doubt a Hunter could get a knife through a Titans helmet with their weak girly arms. Have you seen that throw? You're lucky you get damage at all.
-
I agree. I had a crucible game last week where I just decided to huck a knife about where I thought the guy was at. Turned out to be a crit and even w/burn it didn't kill him. Throw a dog a bone here! I tracked the guy with the burn and killed him but it would have been a much better story and possibly a great video the other way....

7 AntwortenThe rest of the subclass is so well put together there really is no need for a one hit kill melee too. Especially when a bullet or two plus precision knife equals kill and your knife back.

1 AntwortenYou want a buff that lazy hunter melee?

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von WoodWisp: 6/7/2016 10:27:21 PMYou know what happens if they make it a one hit kill. Everyone starts using the perk that INSTANTLY gives you another throwing knife when you get a kill, then that becomes op and everyone starts screaming nerf. It's ranged, takes no priming, and it'd be way too op if it was a one hit kill. This is coming from someone who never used a Titan in pvp, BTW. Keep that in mind before you hate

4 AntwortenOnly if they completely removed the aim assist

Because throwing knives are so damn good that's why

To be honest, I think they take the same amount of skill. On my brother's account, I've throwing knifed so many people in the head. But that being said, I agree, it should be a one hit kill. It's pretty fun.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von ID: 6/7/2016 6:27:32 PMI main a gunslinger and I think the knives are perfect as is (I have an decent amount of stick around medals for how much time I put in crucible imo), making it guaranteed precision kill is too strong. The thing that bothers me is the circle of life perk... it's absolutely useless unless you intentionally feed off teammates assisting you. As of now, knife juggler is almost an auto pick for decent knife throwers and incendiary blade for those less comfortable getting precision kills with knives. Inspired by another reply, I think the following change would be fair for circle of life perk and throwing knife: Circle of life: increase throwing knife precision damage when golden gun is active. Killing enemies with throwing knife with active golden gun increases duration of golden gun. The increase precision damage would only be enough to kill max armor guardians without hyper armor (guardians under the effect of hammer of sol, storm trance, arc blade, radiant skin, or in super animation will not be killed by the knife). Body shot knives remain unchanged. This way gunslingers have a maximum of two chances to prolong the duration of golden gun with proper perks, at the exchange of giving up the opportunity to reset cooldown on throwing knives.

6 AntwortenAll I want is my throwing knife to actually burn whoever it hits like it is supposed to do.

SHOULDER CHARGE WANTS YOU TO BE CLOSE WHERE A SHOTGUN CAN EASILY -blam!- YA UP!!! WHY DOES JEFF DUNHAM NOT LOVE ME? WHY DOES SHADOW PRICE IN ITS GOD ROLL NOT LOVE ME?!!!
Sorry bout that. I kinda lost track of what I was doing

As someone with around 140k hunter kills... no... just no...
-
That would be way more op than shoulder charge. It's fine now. Plus throwing knives have soooo much aim assist that headshots aren't hard
-
2 AntwortenI thought the throwing knifes did one shot you, don't they?

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von FSUxGLADIATORx: 6/7/2016 11:51:46 PMA throwing knife critical hit will kill someone

Dude, I agree, this very fact drove me to question Bungie's system.
-
Thanks for the input everybody. See you on the battlefield. Hit me up if you wanna throw some knives and not kill people.

14 AntwortenAs a guy who mainly plays Gunslinger, I couldn't disagree more. That would be ridiculously stupid for them to do. Throwing knives are already incredible, and Shoulder Charge is fine the way it is (except it should always be a one shot - max armor with the chest piece titans and ram wearing warlocks shouldn't survive it).
-
2 AntwortenAs a hunter main... I disagree. Throwing knives can be tossed very far whereas shoulder charge cannot. Throwing knives need to be treated as they are now, if you get one shot off with almost any gun in the game post-headshot, they are dead. I personally would not like to be headshotted by a random throwing knife across the map out of luck. A fix they could do, is give them one shot precision in GG.

3 AntwortenNothing but love for knives and mines. This was Saturday in the last iron banner.

Knives are fine but some of gunslinger perks are boring or not useful. Change them up and we should be good.
-
6 Antwortenit has tracking and long range, lol. No need for buff. Shoulder charge at least needs skill to survive.
-
2 AntwortenI can't understand a world where you complain about shoulder charge while you have a ranged melee that counters it by doing 90% of the titans health. Do you just stare at a wall completely oblivious to your radar waiting to be shoulder charged?
