So this British woman gave all of her female employees a raise and suggests a "tax" on men who earn more.

Does it consider position, hours or how efficient the employees are? Is it fair to take away earnings from a male employee who accomplishes more to give it to a woman whose work place performance is not as good?
This creeps me out. Not only does it smack of redistribution, it's redistribution based on gender. That's sexism.

2 AntwortenMen get more money because they contribute more. By this, i mean they are more productive and take less paid leave than their counterparts. Females who do not take paid leave as much and have similar productivity, you will notice, get paid almost identically to men. If men are more productive and reliable than women, of course they are going to be paid more.

1 AntwortenThe wage gap simply doesn't exist.

"Reverse" discrimination is still discrimination, and thus should not exist. Anyone who says otherwise is wasting oxygen by doing so.

3 AntwortenLove how it's only the white collar women who get to the forefront of feminist issues, and it's only in reference to white collar businesses most of the time. When does anyone push for gender equality amongst cleaners or school kitchen staff? Those jobs are 90% women and get terrible pay.

Cool, a solution in search of a problem. Those are always good.

Feminists at it again

Ah the great vagina tax. UK is -blam!-ed lol

3 AntwortenWhen you see someone better off than yourself your first thought should never be 'how do I drag them down to my level?' It should be 'how do I raise myself to theirs?'

2 AntwortenThere isn't a wage gap to begin with, then companies owned by feminists come along and they pay women more, they MAKE a wage gap, but not one that favours men, one that favours women, that's a matriarch, how very ironic.

1 AntwortenInstead of taxing the men they could just pay the women the same as their male peers...but what do I know about running a business?

1 Antworten"Regardless of performance, regardless of position" That woman needs a reality check, this idiotic idea had better never gain any traction.

I'm pretty sure this is illegal

She's almost laughing because she knows it's hilarious. There's no pay gap to begin with so women getting an increase and not men would mean she's a sexist feminazi

9 AntwortenIf my job started taxing my earnings due to a myth then I'd probably get the authorities involved.

1 Antworten
This creeps me out.
You said it. She's got a huge grin on her face while she explains this ludicrous idea that was created to fight something that does not exist. Not only that, but her final rebuttal to the question, "This is unfair to men, isn't it?" was eye-opening. Women aren't individuals, to her. They don't exercise free agency. They don't make their own choices. They don't live their own lives. They live as a social class (thanks, Marx, for your enduring class theory) that must be compensated for historical injustices. A woman living today is apparently owed something because a past member of her social class was mistreated. What an odd way of looking at people.
