ok, so i got the last word(finally) and i have to say. why? why is it so damn hard to do this? im super bad at pvp, and dieing, even if you traded, sets you back. even if you get a double, then die. you get set back. and the nerf which turned the last word perk into a novelty weapon, making it so that if you get shot by anything first, you will probably die(and im super bad at sniping so that wont help me) can you get the chaperone from a engram? or am i just going to have to hope that a switch gets turned on and i go off? this sucks.
edit: TLDR: any advice to using the last word, or what maps to use it on to get the chaperone. would be nice
EDIT2: ok, got past the last word part, thank you for all the help!
edit3: the strike is hard.
final edit: got the chaperone, love it!

If anybody is able to do the fireteam thing, we are two already, let me know

If you are frustrated with the quest, you probably will be disappointed with the gun as well. They supposedly patched it to fix a problem where it wasn't giving the multiplier damage (the reason it is exotic in the first place.) Its range is pathetic for a shotgun that shoots slugs. My other shotties out range and outperform it, so I put it away to gather dust. When headshots with it weren't one shot kills but body shots with patch-a were, it was an easy choice. I'm a collector so I'm not too bitter, but if using the gun had been my only objective, I would have been very very upset at all my wasted effort.

I deleted that quest, bungies drive towards its broken pvp is enough to say that including quests like that into exotic quests is dumb as fuk.

Get some friends and ask them nicely to help you and go play classic rumble lol
-
Aim down sights with it now. Hipfire is essentially useless. Run full stability and lay on the trigger. Also get secondary, heavy, and super kills as much as possible, as they count as well. Try to play somewhere between offense and defense. If your team is pushing or you know someone is weak, push up. If you know the enemy is grouped up somewhere, stay back and try to pick some off with a sniper. Just remember, too offensive, and you'll die too much. Too defensive, and you won't get enough kills. Don't be afraid to haul ass out of somewhere if you're certain you're going to die though.

Get a group of 3 players and go to the classic free for all game mode. Then have your friends on your fireteam meet up in a certain spot on the map and just keep meeting up and killing them over and over. You should complete it in 1-2 games.
-
2 AntwortenOnly equip it as you're about to win a match, you'll get roughly 3% per win alone. Otherwise, just before a super/heavy as kill sprees also count. Then don't forget to take it off. All deaths without it equipped won't go against you
-
12 AntwortenNot a very good gun. You are better off just getting a good shotgun from anywhere else.

Bearbeitet von WaceMindu: 6/6/2016 7:06:41 PMI'm pretty bad too. I got the quest done yesterday after sooooo many months. Im waiting for tomorrow's reset. Keep at it Guardian! Did this quest in a couple of rift matches. Sunbreaker cleaned up!

Bearbeitet von Heidegger: 6/6/2016 6:44:22 PMThe Last Word Stillpiercer Bladedancer Pretty easy quest imo. I used tlw like my secondary(only when people got to close for comfort or to clean up kills if I missed the headshot with my sniper). I use a combination of hip firing and ads shots with tlw.

I just finished that portion of the quest line last Friday, all I can say is pick your subclass that can get at least 3 super kills every time, like a stormcaller for example. Equip the last word when your super is up and when you get heavy as well as at the end of a match you are sure to win because you get 3% for wins. That's about it, you can finish the quest in like 12 to 15 matches, just be sure to unequip the last word after you get the kills or you risk the chance of dying with it and losing points. God speed guardian!

Bearbeitet von Rayvonhotred69: 6/6/2016 6:24:39 PMIt sucks because the shotgun is actually good and fun to play with and many players do not have this weapon due to how demanding and frustrating the first step is. What's worse is even the tips about switching to heavy weapon for some kill spree is more difficult to pull off since the heavy ammo crate only spawns once per match after the April update, in which enemy players will have their supers by than. Tip for this is if you do get heavy ammo than fall back for an bit and wait for the teams to kill one another so you'll still have your heavy ammo for an chance. You can also go to a 3v3 playlist since heavy ammo spawns as before. But keep in mind that they also nerfed the ammo for heavy weapons in any crucible playlist, both rockets and machine guns. Machine guns is best but even they don't carry that much ammo which means you have to make those kills count before switching to an different primary. Regardless how you try to complete this step "weather is getting heavy kills or super kills" the quest is harsh and can take an while to finish depending on your kill progress. If it's way to stressful and annoying to deal with than don't bother with it, it's not worth it. As I'm sure the weapon will most likely be giving out during year three.

This is for guardians like me who are terrible with the last word, the name of the game is multi kills! Only equip last word when you have a super that will give you multi kills, e.g. stormcaller sunbreaker or bladedancer, however if you normally can get multikills with other supers that your more comfortable with then use em If your confident, Equip a secondary or a heavy that you are extremely good with and can consistently get multikills with Landing a kill with last word equipped gives you 1% per kill and -1% per death which is where the biggest problems lay if you no good with this gun, to get around this only equip last word when you know for a fact you will get multi kills, I'm not sure here but each multi kill seemed to increase my score faster than the 1% per kill, as in 4 rapid kills with the 4 kill multiplier seemed to give me a 16% increase, you know your getting the multiplier when shax calls them out "2 down, 3 down, this is amazing, I can't believe what I'm seeing, 7th column!" You should also get medals for these multikills unequip last word ASAP when your super runs out, or for you confident guardians, when you run outta special or heavy ammo since you have likely Pissed off the whole team and they are now gunning for you Finally when your in a match and you know for certain you team is going to win then equip last Word and stay away from the fighting, each match win gives you 3% Good luck!

It's honestly not worth it :/ you can get outgunned easy
-
1 AntwortenI hope you're shooting from the hip. Also, Go for stability on the perks vs range.

Grab 2 friends and go into classic rumble.

I have it, and it's not worth the exotic spot. Aside from that, use smart drift control and perfect balance. Equip it when you have heavy and a super, or only equip it when you're about to win a match. Don't have it equipped if you are going to lose.
-
This is frustrating to me too, since deaths and losses are very costly towards progression of the Crucible req. Do what others have suggested: 1) Equip TLW only when your have a chance at multiple, uncontested kills (heavy round, charged up super). If you survive, unequip immediately. 2) Equip as soon as you're certain that your team will win.

Go back in time to and meet up with Doc Brown in 1955. He'll instruct you how to use SRL to finish the first part of the Chaperone quest line. Good luck and god speed! I'll comfort your wife while you're away.
-
Hmm, go to mayhem and equip tlw when you have your super or heavy
-
1 AntwortenHow bout you shut up and deal with it
-
Play mayhem. Punto.
-
3 AntwortenOk, I had issues with that also, but luckily when they had Racing out if you had equipped the LW it counted. I almost never use chaperone. Impact too weak.
-
If you keep dying then only equip it at the end of the match. It might take a while but it will work
