I don't understand why people drive without there seat belts on. All this stuff about being launched from your car in an accident and how dangerous it is to not wear your seatbelt is always ALWAYS being shoved down everyone's throats. So why? Why do people still choose not to wear them? Is it just people being stupid? Does everyone wanna die? Ok I'm done ranting now.

Some cars don't have them.
-
1 AntwortenI think they should be optional, sure seatbelts can save live but they kill almost just as many. Everyone should have to carry a seatbelt cutter just in case.
-
2 AntwortenSame reason some people smoke cigarettes. Risk vs reward.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von kaaSnipes: 6/1/2016 5:23:20 PMI never used a seatbelt. Thought I'd be right, been in a car crash once, I'm a lucky person actually so probably won't happen again... One day my friend slammed on the breaks for no reason and I flew into the windscreen. 😂 I only started to wear a seatbelt when I fell pregnant.

2 AntwortenIt's unlikely to become a victim of a car accident. Many think "won't happen to me anyway".

I saw some stupid thing going around about a shirt with a black diagonal stripe going across it and a caption that says, "THIS IS A GAME CHANGER!" It's more of a life changer if you catch my drift.

1 AntwortenIf I'm driving in the country I might not. Less traffic, I know this like the back of my hand. And while I can't tell how other drivers will act, I feel relatively safe. Driving in town, or god forbid a place like San Fransisco, I wish I had two seatbelts or an ejector seat.

I only wear seat belts on the highway because those commercials you see going through a neighborhood, no one is going 70+ to be launched.
-
2 AntwortenMaybe in some deep corner of my subconscious mind, forgotten from memory, I don't want to live through this trip. And maybe somewhere deep inside I'm hoping this is the one to end the pain. To end it all.

Those YouTube commercials are interesting I always wear a seatbelt
-
The only times I don't use my seatbelt is if I need to move my car and, of course, when I'm not in the car.
*dabs*
1 AntwortenBecause, in a very passive sort of way, I want to die.
-
Because I'm riding my/a motorcycle? (The Best form of transportation, 10/10 would ride again-IGN) those don't have seat belts. (Maybe the cruisers do, but I'm not sure. Haven't seen one with a belt.)
-
The only times I don't wear a seatbelt is when the place I am going is like two seconds away.

Maybe suicidal people?

1 AntwortenSome people wanna die and they don't care who comes with

Some of us just don't care anymore

1 AntwortenI think it's unintentional laziness. I've been in an accident behind the wheel, first-hand, and I'm more than sure that our seat belts (plus the air bags) are what saved our lives. It's been second nature ever since. Drive safe, and always wear your belt!

Why do people smoke or drink alcohol? Because 99.96% of the time. Nothing bad really happens. .04% of the time you get liver failer and lung cancer. and it's too late. You don't drive planning on a car crash. You get complacent. High chance nothing bad will happen. but it it does. it's not something you're going to limp away from. Peeps will be peeps. Personally, I only take it off to reverse trailers into spot.

4 AntwortenFor some people it's about comfort. For others, it's actually about safety. I know a few people that live on rivers, and they refuse to wear seat belts. They're afraid that in an accident, they'll find themselves in the water and buckled into a sinking vehicle.
-
19 AntwortenJust dont like them or the government regulating safety. Freedom of choice. No by the way as a long time motorcyclist i refuse to wear a helmet either.
