I'm so freaking tired of getting kicked out of a strike mid way because of your servers. Freaking fix it!

Bearbeitet von KannibalKlown: 6/1/2016 3:03:02 PMWithout the snark of some of the posts below. This game uses P2P (peer to peer). That means instead of you and your team just sending data back and forth to a powerful dedicated server... You're sending the data back-and-forth between yourselves. Meaning if you're in a strike with some guy on a cruddy WiFi connection and in Panama then chances are your connection is going to be flakey and one-or-more of you may drop. Meanwhile some routers have a problem with P2P in general and tend to cr@p out after a while. And some ISPs have issues as well. P2P has some advantages. Longevity: game might last longer if population goes down since dedicated servers are expensive and some Publishers pull the plug on dedicated servers after 2-4 years. But obviously Bungie's code is not bullet proof while too many people have iffy connections or it tries to match people up that shouldn't be connected.

What servers?

They game itself is all on one server, match making is peer to peer. Hope that explains why the connection is so shitty.

Let's just hope Activision actually forks over some cash to get some servers for Bungie to use in the next installment.
