READ FIRST BEFORE COMMENTING
Most solo players suffer from the lack of loot, and have to result to trying to find a fire team or raid team to actually have a chance at getting this loot. You could argue that Iron Banner is a way to get high level gear alone, but that's once a month (depending it actually happens on time), so it's not really a good option, trials, CoE, Kings fall, and nightfall (that one is questionable) requires a fireteam to complete . I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to play completely solo (on a few occasions with friends), and there's not really a great way to progress and play solo at the same time. If someone from Bungie dose come across this (probably won't) I want to ask for a way that I can progress in this game alone, without the help of other guardians.
EDIT: Damn I didn't think this would have that many comments, I guess we're trending.

Bearbeitet von Beleg Cuthalion: 4/16/2017 12:26:46 PMExactly!!! They didn't put a lfg system inside the game and if you want to make some raids or other activities you have to buy a smartphone or a pc in order to use some lfg shit. You will say do it from the ps4 browser but you haven't try it . But all of these shit are past thanks to bungie and they will fix this on destiny 2 . Thanks again. It's not exactly what your post refers to but when i find an opportunity to talk about it i do it :)

The April update was designed to help the solo player. And I think it did. I reached 335 and all I did was grind out the heroic strikes. Do a three of coins before each one. It will take time but you will get there. The only things that the solo players are locked out of are trials and raids. Challenge of elders is a good source of loot and is easily soloable.

A time trials mode like in the resident evil mercs would be cool

Dude seriously tho, we do grind a lot as solo players. I have had some many legendary drops and exotics playing solo and using 3 of coins properly. I teamed up with awesome people up until this year. .

Bearbeitet von GamerCone: 5/28/2016 9:08:44 PMIt makes no sense for the best stuff in the game to be the easiest to get, which would be the case if you were able to do it all solo. The best gear should require players to interact with the gaming community. You have to be connected to the Internet to even use a ps4 or xbox1 so why does it matter?...the only thing I would say is that maybe they should add a matchmaking option for nightfall and raids that requires you to be at the minimum light level in order to use the matchmaking option. That way someone at 280 light can't join something like HM Kingsfall, unless they create the fireteam themselves.

Have you tried the100.io ? It's a grouping system. You can pick a group and ask to be invited, or grouped automatically based on time zone and time frame you usually play. Games and raids and events can be planned for a specific time and date in advance, and you really get comfortable with the group of people. I probably wouldn't have gotten this far without them.

2 AntwortenFrom my point of view if you play solo then you don't NEED the high level gear that you struggle to get. No matchmaking requires you to be higher than 330 light and that is achievable from Vendor rolls. A few things like exotics and strike exclusives and CoE gear drops at higher light and from that a solo player can build up a 335 character. Don't be jealous of the gear that team oriented players get, part of the distinction of having things like a full raid set is that one has chosen to play in a group. Part of the glory of Trials is knowing that you achieved victory together. Solo players have plenty already, they don't need more even if greed demands it.

Bearbeitet von Stupid Shinji: 5/28/2016 3:16:20 PMMy friend doesn't have good internet ( the area he lives in is like a half mile outside of a service area) so he can't raid or do any of that unless I drag him through it. When the April update dropped he was at 275, I told him just to grind heroics, so he does like 2 or 3hrs of heroics everyday after work since the update dropped and he's now 329, he has 0 raid completions and has only done challenge of elders the very first week when we 2 manned it. Maybe you're just not maximizing your solo play time wisely. Exotics decrypt higher than your overall light, strike exclusives drop the same way. I understand that many strikes are annoying, but with each strike having some sort of an exclusive you should just stay in the playlist to maximize your chances, use rep boosters and speed run to the boss. You'll rank up your vanguard extremely fast, you faction will level as well but not as fast so make sure you're using glimmer boosters during the week to continuously buy heavy synth to level your faction. Then on the weekends buy nothing but 3oc and heavy synth. 100 strange coins gets you 300 heavy synth, which is exactly 3 faction levels

3 AntwortenDestiny is intended as a cooperative game. Solo players can do activities solo or go get a group. Bungie should not baby solo players because they don't want to play the game the way it was meant to be played.

My suggestion would be
custom games
Playing solo is a choice.

1 AntwortenCoe does not require a fireteam. Haven't done a nightfall for a while but they didn't require one either, unless they have become more difficult recently. I play this game solo and have no problem getting loot or becoming geared.
-
1 AntwortenI have about a team of 2 at all times. In year 1 we'd do nightfalls, Crota, and the heroics each week on all characters. Now it's most of the time heroics and sterling treasures. Going for rank ups is the best way to rank up solo right now, and that takes a long time and an endless number of daily bounties and heroic strikes
-
I consider it a solo game. With how hard they try to make raid and trials and etc inaccessible to most, its a solo game. Most of the user base plays solo more often than not
-
The solo players don't fit Bungies ideas of having a social game that which in turn lacks every social aspect that you would expect the game to have without having to use a third party site which is not accessible from the game to have a social experience.
-
9 AntwortenAs a fellow solo player I know that it feels like we're being forced to team up for almost everything but... Screw that we are being forced to team up for anything with worthwhile loot or entertainment and correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Bungo say this was suppose to be a social networking game? Also let me point out that there have been NO updates or add ons that are for or suppose to benefit solo players in fact the only thing that's supposed to be soloed is the 3rd specialisation quest line which is what 1-2 mini missions and an empty pvp map with almost infinite super to kill weak enemies
-
I do just fine solo.
-
The problem with this is they want destiny b a very social game, and the moment they add a way to get loot easily as a solo player then no one does raids and stuff. Rn they're at a good spot to where solo players can get 335 but it's much easier to do it with a fire team so ur encouraged to play with friends, which is what they want

6 AntwortenSolo players can get max level from strikes and IB

I am 110% sure when matchmaking will be added for everything, you will come attention whoring about something else. ;)

Bearbeitet von the666guy: 5/27/2016 5:11:16 AMI'm often solo and can generally coe and nightfall by myself. Sure it takes a lot longer than with a group but it's still doable.

8 AntwortenIn game optional matchmaking would prove bungie gives a single f*** about solo players. .....oh that's right they don't. (Least we can reach max level now)
