So sick of snipers
Truly over this game because of snipers. No for all of you horrendous people that will start bashing others over the Internet, I rarely snipe. It's not something I'm great at and I enjoy using the shotgun. But the sniping has become ridiculous in this game. The most unrealistic and overpowered shots I've ever seen. And while I'm at it, NERF the stupid firebolt grenade. Ridiculously annoying and makes the game frustrating.

I much prefer to get killed by shotguns because at least then the other team isn't too chicken shit to at least attack you. Sniping in Destiny are for people who don't have the skill to use other weapons. I understand. I suck at PvP and I'm OK with that, but at least I'm not cowarding in the back of the map waiting for someone to run around a corner. Man up and play like you have some balls.

1 AntwortenI agree, it has been ridiculous. Walking round a corner and you're dead in less than a second. But, I thought, I'm going to learn how to snipe. I'm still a way off being decent but Zen Meteor makes sniping for beginners easier. Now, I can do what others have been doing to me for so long and it feels good.

Snipers do have favourite spots which can be avoided but realistically any point in the map can be a sniper lane. A sniper has no interest in engaging so will hide behind walls, rocks or anywhere with a bit of cover. Sniper rifles have a zero time to kill with a head shot and the nature of snipers is that if you do see them, they are likely out of range for any weapon your likely to be equipped with. It not a matter of buffing primaries. It should be made more difficult for a sniper to land that perfect shot.

1 AntwortenEveryone is entitled to their opinion. Yes I understand if someone lands a clean headshot on me, I can't and won't complain. But if you haven't been killed by some bs snipe shot then you're living under a rock. I'm well aware there are ways to combat it. Not everyone is great. But there has been a large influx of shots being made, that before were not normally made. Thus, regardless of whether it's aim assist or not, SOMETHING is making it easier. I'm looking for a balance. Whether thats a nerf, adding HC rounds back to MIDA, or overall buffs, something needs to be done because it is literally what many players are upset about. You can't always please the masses but clearly by this forum, many people are opposed to it, more so than those supporting it.

I can remember when pulse rifles were dominant and not one single person cried about snipers. Or rememeber when shotguns ran rampant thats right no one complained about snipers. Thing is every dam secondary has been nerfed due to incessant tears flooding the forums. This game lacks diversity and anyone who has asked for a nerf is to blame for this slow paced game. If we had more consistent shotguns and a range buff bam more diversity and less people using snipers. Same could go for fusions because face it theres at least 2 that are only good. And for sidearms they need to be a lot better. Harldy anyone uses them. All this is a sniper fix without doing a dam thing to them.

4 AntwortenLook snipers aren't op, they feel op right now because primaries suck. Time to kill on all primaries has gotten a lot slower. In year 1 if a sniper missed his first shot, he would lose the gunfight. Because time to kill is super slow, snipers don't feel as threatened anymore and can pull off 2-3 shots now. The answer would be to buff primaries across the board but that won't happen. If u ever need help or tips with crucible, msg me or add me. I'm a top player and am top 100 in the world in many different playlists. I can give u some tips that will benefit u. Asking for nerfs isn't the answer. I also hate firebolts but there's nothing we can do when DEEJ mains a warlock lol. Snipers can be countered easy, snipers are in a good spot. But ya before u msg back, I'd rather talk in a party chat to save us the time from typing back and forth. I can go in depth on wat crucible needs, and a lot of what I say, is supported by a lot of top pvpers.

1 AntwortenYear 1 sniper here. I was a special snowflake that no one complained about until shotguns were nerfed. I have been using snipers since day 1 and will continue to use them.

I always find it amusing that all these people claim to be highly skilled, yet they can't get wins with any other load out than with a sniper. If these people were skilled, they wouldn't need to rely on a single type of weapon to win.

Unfortunately snipers are here to stay. There will be more and more each day. The kill time has become so slow because of all the nerfs that there isn't much of a choice but to set up your tent and camp. You can try to gun down a guardian running at you but you will most likely die from a slap, punch, knife or maybe a shotgun. And of course shoulder charge. It's a choice. Watch people run through your bullets and you die or sit back and snipe.
