Had a frustrating attempt at Oryx this afternoon. We were perpetually with one player causing wipes. When that one cycled out or learned enough to be passable, another inexperienced player would cycle in. I am not picking on the people in question, they weren't bad players, they were just clueless about Oryx. I was a titan running BoL with ToM on ogre duty. The less experienced players often joined me up top. First guy: didn't even know where I was saying to jump up to. His prior Oryx experience was story mode. But once he got in the rhythm, he did OK. We had an unrelated wipe and he left. Next guy who joined had no mic at first. We asked if he could take plate 1. He gave a thumbs up. Me and another guy went up top. Then a random squeaker voice kept saying he would be on add duty. We finally figured out it was the plate 1 guy. We asked if he minded doing plate 1 instead since the other guy had a ToM. He said OK. Then didn't jump on his plate the first time (wipe), jumped on and then fell off the second time (wipe) and didn't kill his knight or even know there was a knight the third time (wipe, kick). Got somebody else, he took plate 1, died. We moved him to plate 3, he died. Meanwhile, the guy on ogre duty with me pushed me off the tower once and nearly did it a couple other times. We decided to swap them. The plate 3 guy joined me up top. He was a titan with WOL. He waited until we were shooting the second ogre and then put it near the front of the tower. When it was time to shoot ogre 4, we had nowhere to stand (wipe). We tried one more time. He put the bubble in the right place. But, i didn't notice him shooting ogres. I was killing each ogre running out of shield/health, which means I was needing to do nearly all of the damage. While I was ADS killing ogre 4, he got in my way (I had to walk around him, shoot ogre, and walk back around him to refresh shield), shooting across the map at something (other adds, I guess). Ogre 4 moved enough to be a problem. Then somebody died ... That was enough for one session ...... None are bad players and I hope they were learning as they went, I just had other stuff to do and couldn't keep finding novel ways to wipe forever ... I gave it nearly two hours while people IRL impatiently waited ... I have never experienced such issues sharing a bubble.

I'll be honest with you, I've ran the raid alot (maybe not alot alot), but I honestly don't see the point in people saying you need black spindle? If you have a decent thousand yard stare with some sort of reload perk you're fine. I'll give it to you that Touch of Malice is ideal, but not everyone needs it. In the end I'd say people just need to he honest when lfg. There's plenty of people out there who will teach you the raid mechanics, so learn it before you say you know it all.

So long as they have a sniper and a primary they are comfortable with then they should be fine. Weapon requirements are just pointless, cause you can complete the hard mode without any exotic weapons. Now not knowing the mechanics is a different story.

Just check how many completions of king's fall they have in their grimoire before you play with them. Light can be earned in many ways besides the raid now.

I was 335 before beating oryx , only just did it a couple of times the other night , I have a 335 spindle but prefer using the 1kys , the problem was not getting there , but people leaving after one failed run , this happened over and over since it dropped for me . In the end I gave up and reached max light through other means . But After beating oryx , ran the raid fresh from start to finish in around an hour and a half . With only a couple of wipes when the bombs glitched out or the shade took someone.. It's really not that difficult , just people need a little more patience rather than just saying watch a YouTube video or just being quite condescending. I'm not new to raiding, the forever 29 episode is still fresh in the memory and I had achieved flawless raider previously, but trying to get a team to go through the raid for kings fall has been ridiculous . Not so much now , but definitely before reaching max light .

Not even worth my time anymore. There's to many unexperienced players with high light and in the conservation of time I'm not going to waste two hours for crap weapons and ugly armor. All three of my characters are 335 I have over for 40 kf hard mode completions I say that's enough for me.

Did King's fall twice. Once on each difficulty. Never liked King's fall, never intrigued me whatsoever. My friend just told me what to do and that was that. Hopefully we'll get a cool cabal raid in September.

True, I'm not the best but this morning tried to help out at oryx with five others, all 334/5 and clueless. Problem was they hadn't learned their trade, couldn't jump, glide, duck or move, wrong weapons at wrong times, not using their supers at correct times.theyve had it too easy.

yea it isnt worth messing with now, easier to level up using coe and 30c's which totally sucks the fun out of the game

I shouldn't have to teach people the raid while doing Hard Mode.

Just start your own group. Tell them you don't care what light they are as long as they have spindle/Tom. Problem fixed as anyone who has done the raid can and should have these by now. It's not like ghorn in year one because that was pure RNG. These are available to anyone.

ToM is no longer needed to complete it.
