7 AntwortenBecause those are year 1 weapons and they didnt want them to be as usable in year 2. That said, I think it was very silly that they nerfed Ghorn only to not bring it into year 2. However, WP rounds were stupidly OP. As someone who didn't use anything else as far as exotics in year after getting the Ghorn, I think I have reasonable credibility in saying that. The ghorn was the end all answer to everything in year 1 PvE, so I can understand not wanting it to stay as strong as it was, but if they weren't going to bring it into year 2 anyway, I think it was a little pointless. As for Thorn, people kept using it in year 2 so they made it worthless in PvP.

At 315 light with my gally it was taking 2-3 rockets to kill a knight major. Ahh the good ole days, where it would have killed at least a major and 7-8 adds around it.

Wolf pack rounds could be added to any rocket launcher, just lower there impact or make the cumulative impact total a standard launcher.

13 AntwortenDB elitist players killed Gjahallhorn and Ice Breaker by making it a requirement for everything team related. Crucible cry babies ruined Thorn, which I actually liked using in PvE. Sadly Crucible alone has been the biggest source of crying I have ever seen in any game before. It's almost like most Crucible players have never actually played any other FPS ever.

People still use Thorn. Was never really a fan, as I am not much of a hand cannon user. As for Gjallarhorn, I still use it to take out Crota. Equipping it dropped my light from the 320's to the 300's. Two shots still drop Crota in hard mode. I finally got the Crux of Crota last weekend.

Because thorn is cancer in this game's body
-
Because Thorn could take down basic shields easily, IceBreaker was a boss gun for the patient sniper, and Gally was an overall beast. They couldn't make a handcannon, sniper, or rocket launcher that could top those year one guns so they left them behind hoping someday we will forget about them. Then they will rename and reskin them for Destiny 2 with a few subtle differences so not to be mistaken.

Gally doimg 178 damage to direct hits like theres a loght cqp

2 AntwortenBecause now the elitists can require you to have a touch of malice and black Spindle for the raid instead of ghorn and icebreaker. Same shit different guns. But in all honesty ghorn was a crutch for noobs.

Because this is the generation of everyone wins

Because it was fun

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Gatsuori: 5/13/2016 5:34:22 PMWhat I don't understand is why the hell did they nerf the weapon when they weren't bringing it into year 2 to begin with. I remember 1st hearing about the nerf and it was around the same time they were mentioning TTK's infusion and "year 2 exotics". Why nerf a weapon that's now useless anyways in year 2? Unless they secretly plan on bringing it back? Morons here mentioning elitism. Well something else took its place. Ever look at the recruitment forums? Now people require a certain light level or have ToM or have a certain amount of completions. Piss off with elitism as the excuse to nerf and make gally obsolete in year 2.

So they can bring them into yr2.

Cause they hurt.

5 AntwortenI worked hard for my thorn took me ages on my titan .

Because a group of children were murdered online by the wolf pack rounds when heavy ammo spawn. As the blindly charged the individual with the rocket.

Bearbeitet von iDovahBear: 5/13/2016 4:50:24 PMBecause having fun weapons meant we didn't feel the need to grind for more. It's all about making sure we're ready to grind for more garbage...

Because the whiners of the community did what they do best, whine. They basically run the game now, and it sucks.
-
1 AntwortenBecause people died by it once in PvP. Isn't that always how nerfs happen? Someone dies once by a gun because they decided they needed marks and played the daily crucible and got totally destroyed and thinks everything is OP. The way it has always happened.
-
8 AntwortenTo prevent their being a " right" weapon to use all the time. Screw that weapon, the game is much better without it. It was clearly never tuned in the first place.

Bearbeitet von stadwick: 5/13/2016 1:24:56 PMBecause crucible reasons. Really only ppl that play sweats use thorn and i guess some random kids got killed by it a few times and got salty so they complained. Elitists ruined the gally not bungie. All those ppl that posted must have gally when looking for raid group. Gally made up for lack of skill. I didnt get myne until HoW and loved how it was a PvE easy button.
-
We all know gally was nerfed. To stop the elitist system. Funny how that worked out. What happens when exotic bounties are taken away and everything is a drop? Did someone mess up?
-
Thorn for good reason and be honest even though we all loved the gally it was stupidly powerful. I remember doing a nightfall on valus and we melted him in seconds with solar burn and 3 gallys.

The Crucible.
