Continuing the Lumen [if you can think of a better name I'd be happy to hear it] subclasses, here's my idea for the Titan. It's a cold energy type btw.
Advancer
We are the front line against the night
Grenades:
Beam grenade - shatters upon hitting surfaces emitting an explosive Lumen Light beam
Clap grenade - Those caught in this explosive grenades blast are knocked back
Whirlwind grenade - a grenade which deals damage over time to those who enter its area of effect.
Melee:
Barricade: creates a small, temporary barrier where thrown acting as cover for you and your allies
Perks:
Sentry - Barricade grants enhanced tracker and increases the range and accuracy of your weapons when crouched behind it
Reinforced Light - greatly increases the strength of Barricade
Final Defence - Barricade replenishes your grenade after precision kills while crouching behind it
Super:
Fractal Charge: Manipulate Lumen Light into several holographic copies of yourself which aggressively seek out and charge at foes at high speed, tackling them dealing massive explosive damage upon impact.
Perks:
Sprinter - further increases the agility and movement speeds of Fractals while reducing their health by 30%
Close the Gap - Fractals gain short distance teleport capabilities (like vex minotaurs) and are more aggressive
Strength in Numbers - Gain two extra Fractals. Fractals have greatly reduced movement speeds.
(Summoning takes 2.5 seconds and grants 45% damage resistance. When killed they shatter like glass, this doesn't damage opponents. Each has around 180 health in PvP, carry no weapons and are very obvious on the battlefield, glowing bright white like a humanoid lamp. Fractals explode upon impact [dealing the equivalent damage of a rocket, can cause damage to multiple targets], meaning they don't get up again to kill more people. Base number of Fractals is 3, max is 5.)
It's just a creative concept, if you don't like it that's fine, just be constructive in your criticism. Don't say "no way" because you don't use a Titan or don't like Titans, say no way if you genuinely think it's a bad idea. Thanks for reading 😊
Edit: slight modification to the super, as many thought it was underwhelming.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Swilliam: 5/23/2016 3:09:25 PMIs the beam grenade kind of like an arcbolt or firebolt grenade? And is the whirlwind like a vortex grenade? And also can you use your guns while in your super? Just curios.

1 AntwortenWhat if they made a subclass based on the Titan itself? No void, no arc, no solar, just the combat skills of the Titan. The subclass could be called soldier Melee: standard punch, rifle bunt, short range shoulder charge. Grenade: standard grenade, sticky grenade, shredder grenade. The super will be based on weapons you got from the weapons master quest line the shotgun and AR Super: shield boost AR boost: all AR have the stomping power of a heavy machine gun within one reloaded magazine. Shotgun boost: all shotguns have increased range making them extremely effective at midrange, shots fired depends on the shotgun.

This is why I come to these forums. Loving seeing ideas like this one!

1 AntwortenI really like your idea

I feel like the concept of the super fits the hunter the best.

1 AntwortenThis needs to happen. Bungalo needs to see this.

Advancer sounds stupid. Change it to Enforcer.

Bearbeitet von ferial56: 5/15/2016 12:25:17 AMWhile this sounds pretty cool, I think the grenades should be changed. This subclass has 3 unique grenades exclusive to that class alone. Sounds a little too special.

Is anyone else reminded of that one Starcraft strategy where you build a bunker near the enemy?
I haven't played that game in years lol
-
Or a spear of light that blinds burns disable enemies

4 AntwortenMaybe if they exploded when they die then it would it be good

2 AntwortenAdvancer class has a barricade? A barricade is used to defend, just saying.

4 Antwortentitan will never get to be op again. Your hammers are nerfed. Your average class KD needs to stay below hunters, and warlocks. So. You need to think of PVE stuff ok. Like throwing a single bolt of light that does a lot of damage, and buffs your teams weapons. How about giving all team mates rechargable force barriers while they're near you. You get a hydra shield that rolls around you. Remember the poison that the fanatics dropped when you killed them? Now you can drop that from your but. Mark of negation happens. But u only get one.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Roguewolf One: 5/13/2016 9:49:38 PMIt looks like it didn't get posted earlier, so here's my Warlock idea using your Lumen Light concept. By the way, nice job! Tempest "The light...the light leads us on." Melee:
Maelstrom-Draw a deadly line of fire in the air around you. (Spinning animation, and has a small AOE effect, does not kill a Guardian with one hit) Dawn Descending--Maelstrom has longer range and affects enemies with pulse DoT. Can't Touch This--Maelstrom prevents incoming damage from all sides for 2 seconds, but prevents the Guardian from moving (animation: Vex Cyclops shield). Maelstrom does significantly reduced damage to those caught in the cast. (Blocks all damage except from very high damage sources--i.e. boss attacks, supers, heavies) Accumulation of Sorrow--damage done to the first enemy caught in Maelstrom is transferred to the next enemy as well as the damage that would normally be done to the next enemy.
Grenades:
Fracture--throw a ball of Lumen Light that explodes mid-air and emits very powerful, short-ranged beams of Lumen Light in random directions. (think Disco Ball of Death) Acid--a canister of Lumen Light that explodes and covers affected surfaces in a material that slows and damages enemies over time. Warden--throw a grenade that draws a circle on the ground. When the circle is complete (just a little longer than it takes an Incendiary Grenade to explode) massive damage will be dealt to enemies within the circle.
Super (here's the good part):
Whirlwind--channel Lumen Light and become an unstoppable force of nature. Movement speed increased by 300% (OP?) and Armor increased by 50%. Melee attack speed vastly increased, range increased. You now glow like a mega human lamp, run like the Flash (ok, not quite, but FAST) and hit like a freight train. You also melee with both hands VERY RAPIDLY. Downside: doesn't last long and doesn't hit hard initially (normal melee). Timelapse-Whirlwind lasts longer. Favor of the Light--attacks that would normally kill you during your Super have the chance to reduce you to 1 health. The Way Beyond--rapid kills have the chance to generate twice as many Orbs. (Double Down in PVP, 4 in PVE)
Hope you enjoyed! If this doesn't post I will make a separate topic on the forum.

I was kinda thinking holograms would/should be a hunter ability.

The lumen is part of your small intestine. [][][]

5 AntwortenA super that gives the player the potential of nine rockets that track aggressively and have the health of a regular guardian, please stop, that's way too overpowered.
