I'm like the only souls fan who seems to really enjoy bloodborne. I'd LOVE another one, but I don't think there will be one.

You are nowhere near the only Souls fan that enjoyed Bloodborne. There are thousands of them.
-
Most of the souls community I've come across didn't enjoy bloodborne very much. That's all I was saying
-
There are quite a few that didn't but a hell of a lot that did. That's the only problem when you do things a bit differently, purists don't like it.
-
Even if they don't make a direct sequel I am pretty sure they will make a very similar game, just like with Demons to Dark just so they can release multiplatform. Or Sony will finance a sequel, BB did make them good money after all.
-
They have already confirmed dark souls 3 to be the last game they make with the "dark souls" formula. There won't be a sequel.
-
They said DS3 was a turning point in the series
-
They also said its the end of the formula, a turning point does not mean "another game" if anything it means the next game will be entirely different. A turning point for the company.
-
Dark Souls is not Bloodborne, I know they made Dark Souls 3 the last Dark Souls game but they never said anything about Bloodborne which is not a Souls game.
-
"Dark souls formula" Bloodborne, although mechanically different, still very much follows the same formula. When you die, you lose currency. Regions are punctuated by challenging boss fights, you are open to be invaded by other players. The formula is the same. I truly hope I'm wrong, and that there will be another bloodborne. But I really doubt it unfortunately.
-
If you are right that would be odd, why abandon that formula on the height of its succes, its not like BB is a copy paste of DaS, sure there are many similarities but it is still its own game with its own identity, yes I hope you are wrong as well. Ofcourse if they announce a new Chromehounds I would still be happy.
-
Because as a developer they've now made 5 games that are all very similar to each other. I respect them as a developer for wanting to do something different, unlike a company like activision, who produce the same stale shit every 6 months. They've done an excellent job, but as a company, or rather, as a creative entity, they may just want to try making something else. I can get on board with that, but I will absolutely miss Soulsborne.

Yes that is a valid point. Go out on a high point instead of milking the franchise and end up getting over a million dislikes on your newest trailer.
