Shotgunning isn't "Easy": Anyone claiming this is a bit lost
Yes. Aiming the gun is easy
Yes. The range can be annoying
Yes. Almost anyone can use it effectively from day 1
But being a GOOD shotgunner isn't easy. Top tier shot gun players have immense skills in movement, pressuring opponents, and split second decision making.
I'm not defending shotgunners because I am one. Most people who know me, know that I snipe 99% of games. But it's kind of bullshit to discredit the skill set of another player.
I personally find using shotguns effectively very hard due to my passive nature, so when people make the statement that they take "no skill"... well I must just suck really bad. Right?
Watch the video, actually listen to my argument, then debate it all you want.

They are different skills, a sniper needs to be aware of his surroundings and have precise aim, a shotgunner needs to be mobile and learn when he should push and when to run...

I have the most kills with shotguns and i've hardly used them since december. So yeah id aay they are quite easy to use. (I got the game when ttk launched)

3 AntwortenYo Tashed... does increased look sensitivity stagger your reticle more? Is this why most people snipe at a low sensitivity and are able to eat shots from a weapon with High Caliber rounds and still pop me with a headshot?

Shotgunning takes no aim. As long as you use movement abilities and don't sprint straight at people it is easy

It takes a different skillset to be a good shotgunner. I think where the debate of sniper skills vs. shotgun skills is won is in the fact that an elite sniper can kill you at any range at any time in a match, whereas a shotgunner is restricted to close quarters only. So even if they are on similar skill levels for each of their respective weapons, the elite sniper should in theory have more kills due to effectiveness at longer ranges as well as close quarters. With regards to the debate on which takes more skill, i think it probably takes less skill to become an average shotgunner than it does to become an average sniper. The reason being is that it is easier to aim a shotgun and use it in its intended range than it is to use a sniper effectively at any range, but especially mid-range and close range where you have people who are actually engage you on semi-favorable terms.

3 AntwortenI agree. Sniping takes more coordination and better reaction time but shotgunnign requires tactical and strategic thinking in order to close gaps and stay alive. I used to suck ass at shot gunning and still could get w lot better. I'll never understand how luminosity does it no matter how much I watch him. Partially because I don't main a Nightstalker lol

Thanks man, sometimes people fail to realize that using a shotgun for some of us is a last resort thing, and to stop an aggressive player, you need to be even more aggressive than your attacker

4 AntwortenI think I fire blanks half the time. I seem to get 1 shot from 'miles' away, but can't kill someone 3 feet in front of me. I'm terrible with shotguns.

8 AntwortenI find it funny that in year one when shotguns were the meta people were all like "shotgunning takes no skill but sniping is an art". Now most of those same people have flipped the script and say sniping takes no skill at all. Ffs people make up your minds.

6 AntwortenIn year 2, this is absolutely true...in year 1, not at all... year 1 was a joke, you could blink and kill people from a mile away reliably...now shotguns seems to work about half the time... There are times when I still snipe people, but other times I stick the barrel up their ass and it barely takes their shield down.

I get out shotgunned all the time, so I use a sidearm because I can outgun a shotgunner with it.

8 AntwortenNothing is easy...everything takes at least some skill, that's just what salty people say about guns that kill them....it's usually snipers that say shotguns are easy, and shotgunners say sniping is easy....if it's so easy why don't they use said "easy" weapon, imo the only easy weapons are heavy weapons....peace!!
