I thought other Planets in the Solar System was supposed to have Chaotic weather...What do you guys think? I think it would be cool to have a Thunderstorm roll through during a boss fight on Venus. Or maybe even a Snowstorm during Winters Run. These storms would transform the Battle field into something Chaotic and should do Dps to both enemies and Guardians.... I mean, the possibilities are endless. What about Hurricanes? Tornados? Earthquakes? Anything to make the environments feel more hostile......Let me know what you guys think!
P.S. Thanks For The Support and I Know Winters Run is On Venus BTW
Edit: I told you guys it was coming lol

This would be so dope

2 AntwortenI wish they would do a little more with the weather, make it a little more extreme, not like mother nature's out to kill you extreme, but more like, "oh crap, it's raining real heavily and I can't see anything other than some gunshots in the distance.", something that would make it a little harder on players overall, you know, make the planets feel alive. I'm getting real tired of the sunny ol' cosmodrome, does it not rain there at all?
-
Let's bring in more reality in the game. Every hour you need to stop and pee. RNG would give you uncontrollable diarrhea on occasion and a couple of times, a few unlucky guardians would contract an STD.
-
7 AntwortenDestiny 2 will have a snowy planet. rumors are fun.
-
Next update: "Bungie, nerf the snowflakes already! They are OP"!
-
2 AntwortenGreat idea but the weather would be yet another thing for a lot of 'players' to cry nerf at ;D
-
Yes definitely
-
Sandstorms on Mars that make it harder to see and limit hearing and disables sparrows Earth could have blizzards that do the same as sandstorm except have a slowing effect as well Moon doesn't have an atmosphere so no weather. Venus could have bad thunderstorms that cause damage to shields because of acid rain. Also lightning could strike the ground Dreadnaught is a ship so no weather. They could have weather in the crucible I would rather weather be more inhibiting that deadly. Note: it would look cool to see the light from gunfire through sandstorms and snowstorms

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, with last gen continuing to be supported it just can't handle this type of coding.. ps4 is in its 3rd year and closing in on the start of 4 if I am not mistaken.. its time to leave last gen behind.. move forward with the capabilities of the current gen and really make something of this game.. 2 years of beta testing, balancing etc.. get this type of thing done.. get dedicated servers, require certain level of internet capability and have this open world experience blow our minds.

im thinking how pissed people will be during nightfall they get killed by the weather
-
Oh my god, having a trial maps weather get worse and worse as you get closer to flawless? Like game 9 would be pouring rain, crackling thunder.
-
Eh...if anything, it'll show up in Destiny 2, or whenever we go to Europa, whichever comes first. Hopefully Bungie fixed the Engine for Destiny 2, so we can have more stuff like this.
-
2 AntwortenHopefully in "Nextiny." I recently went through the Stormcaller quest on a Warlock again, and was reminded of how awesome Blind Watch looked in full-storm mode. Having more weather like that during story missions or crucible matches would be great. I know the current engine/old gen combo couldn't even handle it in a multiplayer situation though. Just look at PoE's frame dragging when too many enemies spawn in at once :/

There's already "light" weather on some maps already. It occasionally snows in the Cosmodrome and rains on Venus. The downside is that it's barely noticeable. I'd fully support actual weather effects and more severe ones. I'd definitely love to see Venus in a monsoon.

1 AntwortenNo offense to last gen guardians but we need them to be left behind.. It would open up many more doors for destiny
-
1 AntwortenSigned, but I doubt it would work well on last gen
-
-
1 AntwortenStellar idea. No way Bungie could ever handle the programming, though. The lag would be devastating.
-
3 AntwortenWould be sweet!
-
1 AntwortenI agree with this, changing weather systems would add a different dimension to patrol strikes etc. would like to see fog or snowstorms in pvp as well for obstructing vision.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Dro-Logic: 5/12/2016 11:20:00 AMThis is destiny not minecraft noob. If you want weather effects go play division and have fun in the snow and fog.
-
That would be awesome....if we had dedicated servers providing a stable connection. But considering how craptastic peer to peer is....no thanks. There are enough glitches in the game. Including a new one in crucible where people go invisible and can only deal damage with grenades and melee. Don't need Bungie to introduce more issues. I'd rather them fix what they have....but I know it won't happen. This game is nothing more than a test bed for things to add into destiny 2.

3 Antworten
Snowstorm during Winters Run
Just gonna point out that there is no snow on Venus. But a monsoon storm with acid rain and gale force winds does sound cool. I can imagine landing on Mars, my favourite planet, and seeing a huge, ominous cloud of dust on the horizon that completely blocks out the sky.

4 AntwortenImagine A thunderstorm that can kill you on blind watch Or Lots of rain where an area gets flooded on shores of time Or A snow storm where visibility is limited Hmm what map would this happen on idk
-
4 AntwortenI would like to think that as this game evolves Bungie will add weather effects appropriate to the planets' climate and environment.
