Remember when Division was going to kill Destiny?
How well did that go? I literally haven't heard anything else about it from anywhere since April. It's far behind Destiny on Twitch as well
Btw, not bad-mouthing the game because I haven't played it. It's just that so many people came to the forums talking down because we play Destiny & that Division was better in every way yet hasn't survived long.

The end-game was worse than people expected; and the grind is way more tedious in The Division than in Destiny.

13 AntwortenNo. I remember lots of idiots claiming it would. Destiny is already dead though. Not because of other games, because it's over 2 yrs old and has a fraction of its previous player base. Dead doesn't mean never gets played, just in relation to what it was before folk saw through the Bungie bullshit. Games don't kill other games, developers kill games.

Just like destiny, the division killed itself. At least destiny got revived by melisandre.

Division isn't even a science fiction game from what I can tell. I don't think it really appealed to the same audience as Destiny. I don't get why they kept throwing the two games in the same pot.

Both games are dying, destiny needs a NEW raid and the division needs a real one.

I knew that game would never gather any real steam. Most next gen games to me aren't very fun/good.

3 AntwortenI commented way back on here that it wouldn't. The beta showed me all I needed to know. It used the same tactic Destiny did. Inflated hype and lies, but Destiny's 'lies' only became a reality because of in-house drama, greed, etc. - but after the dust cleared there was still more content to 'add'. The Division was boring right out the gate, and even more so at the finish line. Soulless bullet sponges, few varying enemy types, zombified story (without zombies), etc. They made my city look great, gave us some decent gun play, but also enemies that were completely unworthy of it all. The environment would have been perfect for swarms of mutant/zombies chasing you down at every corner - but they decided on titanium corner boys and pissed off garbage men.

I played the division for 2 weeks... It got boring very quick. It was a good game but Destiny is better in my opinion. Almost all my friends stopped playing destiny for the division. Now only a couple play division. The rest came back to destiny or moved on to other games.

2 AntwortenI stopped playing it because my game would lag wen I was in the DZ so I would put a clip into an AI and run to cover and seconds later I was on the floor dying and the AI had lost a bit of health

The game was fun, but after the patch it imploded through exploits and cheesing, with the help of a bunch of glitches on the developer's end

1 AntwortenIt was never going to kill Destiny (from a big fan of the Div), just trolls and people vocalizing frustration with Bungie. A big reason you don't hear much about the div on here now is because many of the malcontents are playing something else, or the people who were burned out on Destiny have been taking a break. Plus a lot of people are playing the new dark souls. It's all just a part of the cycle. Destiny has too large of a player base to simply evaporate into thin air. Sure players will come and go, but that was always going to happen. Personally I'm thrilled to have a second game to enjoy when I get a bit played out on one of them. Since I've come back to Destiny I've really enjoyed the new ballance, loot system, CoE and have even been venturing into the crucible more than I ever did. I'll probably even get to max light this time! A lot if the hard cores feel betrayed because evryone can get there now, but compared to the number of players who were frustrated at not being able to access endgame gear they are a drop in the bucket. It feels good to make progress again, and know that I won't be stuck a few lvls below cap because I only have one friend on at a time who plays destiny. I even got a couple of great roll on guns (check my titan's primary and special... I'm in love) in the last week or so. They've certainly made it easier to compete in crucible. I'm not saying I'm a crucible God, but I'm not getting wrecked as often simply because I have sub par gear, which is motivating me to play more, which is building familiarity with the maps, and honing my strategies.

1 AntwortenFor me, being a division player. The enemys had way too much health, i mean how many bullets can you take by wearing a simple hoodie and jeans, not to mention a scarf and hat. In call of duty i die when a knife touches my foot.
