Last word isn't required to obtain the quest. It's only needed for a step of the quest.

yes it is required if it wasn't then i would have had the quest a long time ago after level three for crucible.

It's [b]not[/b] required to find the quest. Last world is needed to complete it only. The rest are right by saying that grimoire doesn't give you the weapon. Regardless you won't be given a last word. You'll just have to find it.

How to Obtain First of all, you’ll acquire this quest sometime after reaching Level 40. You also need to be Rank 3 in the Crucible. Simply wait until Amanda Holiday has a quest marker above her head, and you’ll know that it’s time to begin your quest for The Chaperone. Hmmm that's from planet destiny. Guess they left out the part of needing last word to complete it, morons...

Then how come i did not get the quest until i was level 16 in the crucible and level 40.

I even saw his screen when he got it and before he got it said discovery required.

Dude he lied. They do not give weapons out. I have put in every code that gave grimoire and shaders. The codes even state that they were for grimoire only. So either he lied or you lied but the result is and always will be you won't get a weapon from the code and will have to earn it.

Ha ha so funny i put in codes for shaders and emblems and got them on Destiny the game and my friend did not lie i was there before he typed in the code and we even went to the exotic weapons blueprints and it said require discovered and after he typed it in it showed in the exotic blueprints that he could buy it!

Show proof. Because right now you're the only one saying it and no one else has had this issue. Really just sounds like you want an easy last word for the chaperone quest cause you're too lazy or unlucky enough to earn it legitimately, so you try to make it Bungie's problem.

If you're talking about the code, it was out from day one of year one. If you're talking about the quest, well it's up to you whether you want to complete it or not, nothing is forcing you.

It's RNG. Why would they add a weapon which can give an advantage, redeemable with a code and without playing for it? If you don't like grinding this game isn't for you
