You're absolutely right. We should just completely remove all subclasses, weapons and armor. No jump abilities either. Just a knife, a regular grenade, and regular guns. Obviously having different classes with different abilities is too much for these players to handle. Everything must be on even ground. So why bother having diversity? Just give everyone the same shit, like every shitty, generic FPS game. Obviously, the FPS crowd isn't ready for this type of game. Bungie should have made this game an RPG.
