Does anybody still gunfight in this game anymore?
I honestly do not understand why people refuse to just, one on one gunfight anymore. Very seldom do do I jump in the crucible and see people duking it out. Every warlock throws a firebolt, every hunter shoots once/throwin knife, or wombo/combo, while titans either shoulder charge, or steal the kill the hunter has wombo/combo'd. Every hallway is being hardscoped, and any time somebody gets noticed, they tuck their tail and run/shadestep/glide away. I mean, did I miss the memo? The only ones that don't play cheap and go mega try hard, are just scrubs these days, or something? I can't be the only one to notice this, right?
Edit: I never thought this post would take off like this. I appreciate all of the civil responses and thought out opinions. But then there are the kids who are heartbroken, that I made a post about their precious playstyle, when they themselves can not kills without relying solely on their grenades to engage.

Edit: holy crap this thread took off. I was not expecting this many people to comment, let alone agree. It's good to see there are still gun slinging outlaws still showing the crucible what's up (not referring to the hunter subclass)

1 AntwortenI'm that guy who forgets he has his super up and procedes to shoot everything in the head or body depending on the gun I'm using. Use smoke if I'm out numbered or as a bluff and grenades kinda suck by themselves sooooo....wombo combo

There are so many one hit kill attacks nobody really uses primary when you can just one shot someone.

Back in vanilla I remember winning gun fights even if you didn't shoot first. Now it's become more CoD like where whoever shoots first wins most of the time.

Bearbeitet von JuiceAKAJBizz: 5/7/2016 12:10:32 AMGame used to be so fast paced and our abilities and guns used to be powerful...with hundreds of nerfs it's so hard to push by urself cause other team camping and weapons are too weak...we use to 2 shot or 2 burst...shotguns use to wreck...abilities and grenades use to wreck...stats on guns were so awesome...and we use to have way more ammo on special and heavy... now u have to push w someone else or a couple people...shotgun and fusion nerf really turned everyone into hardscoping campers...but yea u can't push by urself cause the kill takes too long now and u will be teamshot or hardscoped...and u never saw many hardscoped cause u could 2 shot w handcannon or 2 burst w pulse... why hardscope when primary weapons are so powerful and shotguns range and shot package is powerful...the range and accuracy on guns was so much better too...if u left during thorn shotgun meta and came back today u would scream and ask wtf happened to Pvp... EVERYTHING GOT NERFED SO HARD AND IT SLOWED DOWN THE PACE OF PVP SO MUCH...all u see on year 2 montages are hardscoping snipers...watch a year 1 montage and see how quick u can kill if u are good at avoiding damage...and how quick u can get ur super too... I watched some year 1 montages and it's crazy to see how fast paced it was...I get so mad the devs nerfed so many things...it's still fun and took so much adjusting but man I really enjoyed year 1... I wish I could play Pvp like year one but I don't see devs buffing everything back to year 1 levels...again with all that said I still like pvping but it's nowhere near as fun...

3 AntwortenI do all the time lol. Just had a scout match today on Exodus Blue with a few people for a couple minutes lol. It was a blast, but I will also punch/knife/slap you in the face...a lot lol

1 AntwortenHahaha in IB it was quite refreshing when on my hunter me and an opponent had 4-5 exchanges from cover then ducking back until I finally won barely , receiving the close call medal or whatever the name is . Seemed like 2 minutes but was only really probably 15-30 seconds but was really fun, I was laughing so much.

1 AntwortenI ran a bunch of games recently using only different primaries. Was very fun and I was around 20 kills and 2 KD most matches. Then I switched to my hunter and got memento as first map, .5 kd haha :)

5 AntwortenPersonally, I'm just not a fan of supers. I love it when two teams are battling it out, using some strategy in deciding how to engage the enemy, what gun to use for the situation, what approach to take to get to them, etc. But someone ALWAYS pops a super, which prompts someone else to do the same, and the whole things just turns into hammertime. You can tell me to go play a different game, and sometimes I do, but I just think the whole experience would be better without supers.
