Why is everyone always getting so excited about full auto on scouts and pulses? Is such a minor convenience really worth giving up a good perk slot?
Tell me why it's worth so much to you, or why it isn't.
Edit 1: Full auto DOES NOT increase a "hidden fire rate stat." If anyone tells you this, make fun of them.
Edit 2: I will never accept over sampling as an adequate excuse. But that's just my opinion, so it's nothing personal.
Edit 3: hands down my most popular post. My goal here was to gather opinions, and maybe give some of my own to try and delve deeper into your reasoning. I now have more information than I needed and that is truly a great thing in this scenario.

I like it because I feel like my hands move less and therefore my controller moves less helping me stay on target. My favorite pulse is still oversoul edict

5 AntwortenI like full auto on the highest rates of fire pulses and scouts, simply for the reason it prevents trigger fatigue. The downside is a wasted burst here and there. I can live with that.
-
To quote Datto (but just insert some words): "Full auto is a do a thing perk. If you like that "thing" then you will like this perk." Overall full auto is only good if you think it's good

2 AntwortenFor good players, full auto scouts make them into pulse rifles that hit really really hard. Actual good players burst fire that fast scout with full auto. Because there is that kick with lack of stability on fast firing scouts. But seeing as how much better scouts are, a quick burst to the body and the scout kicking it to head makes it a really tough gun to survive. I am still hoping for my fast firing full auto scout rifle still. Vision of Confluence was abit to slow for full auto, but it's a solid example as to why alot want a full auto scout, try using it in a crucible map, just a regular map, not trials or ironbanner, you will see how hard it hits and how cheap it feels. Now imagine if Vision of Confluence fired 1 bullet quicker, that would be inhumane...

1 AntwortenYou don't have to even think about timing shots, or clicking the trigger. Just hold down and line it up on head
-
Its godly on scouts but I personally think it's a waste on pulse rifles. Even bad juju and ntte i shoot in burst
-
4 AntwortenIt m unlocks the guns max fire rate potential thus increasing the DPS, imo its a very good perk for PvE but for PvP id rather tap the trigger myself because its easier to control that way.
-
Full Auto gives the best TTK for non-automatic guns. And it makes shooting a lot easier : Step 1 : pull the trigger Step 2 : let the gun do the rest Step 3 enjoy your better TTK
-
I prefer manually shooting with each trigger pull. Full auto increases fire rate on shotguns and only shotguns.
-
Everyone loves to hold the trigger down and just aim. Let the gun do the work.
-
My aegis of the reef is full auto. Yeah not bothered about it, do with a better perk instead.
-
5 AntwortenNo. It's only good for PvE. No benefit in pvp
-
You went full auto man? Never go full auto! ; P

For scout rifles full auto is great if it's high rof and descent stability. It's also descent without great stability if you just burst fire shots and learn your kick.

2 AntwortenThe only time full auto is valuable is when it rolls on fast fire rate scouts and pulse rifles. It frees you from having to continually pull the trigger and lets you concentrate more on landing your shots. It's a completely worthless perk on mid rate of fire scouts and pulse rifles since their firing cadences are much easier to maintain.
-
1 AntwortenFull auto makes your fire rates much more consistent for you so you can focus on recoil control than rapidly pressing the trigger
-
Full auto, in my opinion, will make your shots less accurate, especially on pulse rifles... When I use the pdx I'll spam the trigger yea, but if the guy dips out and tries to run, I'll still take my time and aim my shot before shooting... If using bad juju, I don't let the trigger go, no matter what, I don't know why... Full auto is completely useless... Scouts would be even worse... The whole point of a scout is to aim your shots and pick up your 3-4 hit kills.. Now shottys on the other hand, its quite obvious it increases the fire rate by quite a bit, and seeing as rangefinder barely effects your range with shottys, I'd recommend full auto all day over rangefinder... But there is still better perks out there for shottys rather than full auto

I like full auto on pulse rifles after a few hours grinding away on the raid its nice to just to hold down the trigger and hose stuff down

Bearbeitet von dguzma07: 5/6/2016 2:06:37 PMOn any weapon that's not a shotgun, it's a "quality of life skill". Not all of us have that fast of a trigger finger. (Especially me!) doesn't mean that it's not a bad perk, I really enjoy full auto on scout rifles. Especially on the mid to high ROF ones. And yes, full auto on a shotgun DOES boost its fire rate. (But ONLY shotguns)
-
All it does is make it easier for people who can't use a semi auto scout...
-
Auto fire makes it slower (on pulse) I shoot way faster with my pdx and hawsaw without full-auto. Full auto seem to make it slower (on pulse I don't know about scouts)
-
Yes, it's a most have on my scouts.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Yildunstar: 5/6/2016 1:40:00 PMFor my Suros-dis 47, I had a roll where it had max stability and junk, but not full auto...loved it but it gave me some hardcore cramps in my hand Hahahaha probs cuz I normally use a sidearm too. Rate of fire too strong!!!! Fingers too weak!!!! Since then I have one with full auto and max stability...life is good. Not only that, but holding the trigger down takes the mind off of one function and instead lets you just focus on the aiming part haha. I have another 47 with hidden hand...arguably better than the full auto obviously. But cramps if I play too long with it.
-
3 AntwortenYou shoot a bit faster and all You have to do is aim.
-
1 AntwortenFull auto does increase RoF slightly. I like it because it makes my shooting way easier.
-
18 AntwortenFire rate is only increased by Full Auto on Handcannons (TLW) and Shotguns
