So we all know that Destiny is all about the end game. Everything else is just a stepping stone to get you there.
We all know the max light is 335 with only kings fall, trials, iron banner, and poe that reward max light gear. They may be more, so excuse my ignorance.
As for the other activities such as nightfall, strikes, faction packages, etc., they award up to 330 light, which is awesome.
Now.....why don't we add Vault of Glass and Crota's End to the 330 light category? Those activities will become relevant, but we still wouldn't be able to skip over Kings fall, prison, etc., completely to be max light. We'd still have to do it.
This seems like an amazing idea and maybe except for the technical stuff, like servers being able to maintain hundreds of thousands online at once doing a ton of different activities, this could work? Idk about that stuff so I might be wrong.
However, this is a GREAT way to add even more diversity to this game. All this would do Bungie is give your customers more ways to enjoy your product, is that such a bad thing?
Edit: just so you guys know, I'm a mainly pvp guy. Before this update, I hadn't touch a PvE activity in almost 8 months, on any character. Making raids relevant is not for me, it's for those of us who enjoy PvE. I'd like to see all of us have a ton of activities we actually enjoy.

Break contract with Activi$ion? Rehire Joe? Restart from scratch?

I've been asking for months now... they don't give a damn...

3 AntwortenI wouldn't view it as recycled content since, in my opinion, it never should have become useless. TTK was supposed to be an expansion. Not a replacement. Many have lost sight of that fact. If it was a replacement for Y1 Destiny, then it should have labeled as Destiny 2, not the 3rd "expansion".

Bearbeitet von AMC_07: 5/4/2016 4:22:16 AMVoG and Crota should all be brought up/revamped. HOWEVER, this will need to come along with new content. For example, if Bungie brings VoG back as is (except for elemental primaries as Bungie won't add those because apparently they can't make a system for every primary to have elements) it would be nostalgic and great for about a week or two. It's content we've already ran to the ground, and it will lose its shine rather quick. We need new content to be added along with this to help refresh the game. Also: some unique (and actually challenging) challenge modes to previous raid bosses would be something great to add as well

1 AntwortenI say bring both raids up to y2 including the weapons. That being said, have the weapons and armor light be set, at say 315, with no infusion nodes. Just imagine a 315 fatebringer with arc burn. It would make us want to run the old raids just to get our hands on those great weapons. Even put in some sort of challenge mode, maybe kill 3 gorgons or kill 3 gatekeepers and those would reward a new weapon from the raid at 335. Maybe I'm wrong but it would be a nice way to keep them relevant

1 AntwortenEh, I miss the old activities but idk if any of them should give any better gear than the other does. Unless it will all be infusable to max light level. Then I'm cool with this idea.

Lord shaxxs weekly bounties can give up to 335
-
-
Challenge also gives 335 gear and strike exclusives drop up to 335. Literally the only activity that doesn't give up to 335 is regular crucible. Minus story missions and patrol.

I'm calling it, their "new" content for raids will be a taken version of CE and VoG
-
5 AntwortenDefinitely bump, but it wouldn't make sense on lore wise

2 AntwortenWait, I thought strike specific gear and exotics could go to 335.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Erijian: 5/3/2016 9:06:36 PMThose activities are relevant, for new players. Each time the endgame gets moved up; activities get left behind. Whenever the Vex Mythoclast and Necrochasm become Year 2 weapons those activities become relevant for everyone who doesn't have those weapons yet, which is probably good enough. Don't drag the same content forward forever.
-
1 AntwortenYeah bungie don't spend any time making new content or adding new things just recycle all the old shit with slight changes! Yay for recycled content.

Matchmaking?! It's idiotic for them to not have it on everything

Nerf fusion rifles?

2 AntwortenThis old argument again. Sure they will make a insanely huge patch that they haven't planned just for you including old raids. 😊
