Kicked for buying sterling treasure
Last week I was in a party doing challenge of elders and we started talking about sterling treasure boxes and buying them. I then began to tell them that I had bought ten just to try and get the taken set of armor. I got kicked shortly afterwards after a barrage of abuse and words like pay to win bs and other words I can't repeat here . This is what things have come to now in destiny .
EDIT: a lot of salty people surfacing here but also a lot of cool people ,surprisingly more than i expected,thanks to you all.

It is definitely not pay to win and many well say it'll lead to it if we purchase these items. Though quite true in many cases when that time comes where Destiny does implement pay to win, just leave or just retaliate against bungie. As many well and I well be on that wagon. Frog in pot scenario. I don't tell you what to do in your life with money so don't tell me. I rather not pre-order instead, some games don't offer what they say they would base on footage and "gameplay" *cough* Ubisoft *cough* *Hard cough* Destiny trailers *cough*

This game is [b][i][u]not[/u][/i][/b] a "Pay to Win" game, not yet at least. Everything you get from sterling treasure(s) is [i][b][u]vanity[/u][/b][/i], it does nothing to increase your gameplay or light. So whoever thinks that it's a "pay to win" game is completely wrong. And, it's [b][i][u]their[/u][/i][/b] money, let them spend it how they want to. It isn't hurting you is it?

I bought some too...basically just to see what was in them. I could care less about gimiky cosmetic items (good job on them none the less Bungie) so I won't buy more, but if you do you do and if you don't *shrugs*. Who cares. It's not as though you're getting anything really functional out of them anyways. I have bought two remotes too. One to motivate my teammates, and another to karate kid you after I've miraculously meleed you to death lol. If that makes e pay to win I don't care it was worth it

Sterling Treasure... Pay 2 win... No... Helping the game grow... Marginally... Waste of money... Your opinion... This is really close to how Star Wars: TOR operates. You can buy outfits for money, but you need to upgrade them for them to be worth anything so they're almost purely cosmetic. There are so many ways to get gear in this game so AT THIS TIME it is NOT pay-to-win. Those who kicked you should look at every angle, not just... Oh you have something cool that you bought for money so you're a tool...
