This gets more and more frustrating every time I participate in a banner. It's like if I choose to play solo I automatically get matched against parties of 4 or more, but as soon as I party up with at least one other person I never see the large parties. Why?

Solo player. After 17 matches and being at the top of my team almost every time, I went 17 losses and 2 wins. I spent so much unrewarded time just holding on to 5 medallions it wasn't funny. That is so frustrating. I don't want to have to join a fire team to win. So I lose. Doesn't seem right. Can't I just get some decent random teammates or something, lol. I played one match where the other team was so dominant, my team wouldn't even leave spawn. It was so crazy. I recorded some clips of it, but don't know how to upload them. I'll try and do that. It was as frustrating as it was sad.

3 Antworten18 months and bungie still thinks I would rather join a match mid game losing by 5k point than wait 1 more min in orbit for a fresh match.....
-
A party of 6 has a clear and distinct advantage over 6 randoms. If the population can handle it, Bungie should add an freelance playlist to Iron Banner.

8 AntwortenWho cares!!! I'd rather have that than a bad connection. You don't want to play against a party?! GO TO FREE LANCE! stop asking for more restrictions on matchmaking - it's destroying playability
-
2 AntwortenIf you are high skilled, you get matched up against high skill. High skilled folks are more likely to be in fireteams. Sucks, I was up against a fireteam this morning. Three or four matches in a row, got my butt kicked.

Bearbeitet von Dismember556: 4/29/2016 7:26:10 AMWhile I agree it's so annoying playing against these "dream teams" for Iron Banner. It only makes me try harder and then feel that much more accomplished when we beat them. Then when they leave, I just laugh but yes, it's annoying when they are sore losers and leave when they lose. All I want from Bungie is regional matchmaking where they prioritize connection over skill, then I'll be happy. At the moment the lag is unreal.

This has been okay in pretty much every fps game ever.

1 AntwortenI literally just made a post about this and being thrown into games that have already started. It's a plague in this game that Bungie needs to fix.
-
Blame the low player base, the game is literally running out of players to match you with, especially when it's prioritizes 1.Skill 2.Conection 3. Maybe in a fireteam.

I agree. No premade 6 person team should get teamed up with randoms, only other 6 person teams.
-
4 AntwortenSame thing happens in Black Ops 3, too. That's why we need an entire list of playlists 24/7 that don't allow parties.

s/the devs/matchmaking logic/ I mean, do you really think someone is consciously ok'ing this?

Bearbeitet von MGB: 4/27/2016 11:32:23 PMIt's because Bungie don't know how to define skill in their SBMM. As a solo PVP player, I love coming up against 6 man teams, I've only lost a few. I find most 6 man teams do not know how to handle even one good player. Most 6 man teams are a bunch of randoms who teamed up using friends of friends, or LFG.

8 AntwortenYeah that annoys me fireteams bigger than 3 should only be matchmade with other large fire teams even if they sit in orbit for ages because they do have a distinct advantage over solo players and small fireteams
-
4 AntwortenThere's really no pleasing you people is there? If they matchmake based on teams and the connection sucks, you complain about shitty connections. If they matchmake based on connection, you complain about uneven teams. Jesus, go use LFG or /r/ already. Or y'know, make some friends.

This also happened in the following games, CoD4: Modern Warfare, World at War, MW2, Black Ops, MW3, BO2, Ghosts, AW, and BO3. I don't play Halo online because I would rather play the storylines so I can't speak for the Halo series. Why is this a problem again? Is it a legitimate grievance?Or are you just tired of getting matched against a team of people who are communicating. It's hard to tell the difference...

6 AntwortenFor clash it's less of an issue. However for rift you need to get a team together especially when Iron Banner Rift comes around again (which it will).
-
Bungie made Halo 2. In Halo, you could choose between playing solo players or against teams. If your in a party, you could only play the other partys. If your solo, you could choose between both, and it would join you with another team that only had 3 players lol. Light years ahead of what we have now, and it was over 10 years ago.
-
Well... yeah. Just because those six are together doesn't necessarily mean they aren't going to end up being shit. I say this from personal experience from both being part of the six man team as well as beating other six man teams going in solo.
-
I just tough it out. Eventually uneven combinations get broken up. You might face that fire team a couple times, but if things are really that lopsided, things get shuffled. If I pop out to orbit every time it happens, the chances are I'll see this type of thing more frequently.

Yeah, this blows my mind. When I get into a match and my side is getting destroyed, I check to see if the other side is in a fireteam and 9 out of 10 times there are 4 or more in one. I complete the match, get my Medallion and find another match. I then check to see if there is another fireteam.
