Seems like I am always getting killed in one to two hits no matter what light level or what weapons people have equipped. I am starting to think grinding for gear is pointless, honestly.

It counts immensly. Idk why. It just does.
-
Definitely every little counts

My shotgun isnt that effective as in regular Crucible.

Bearbeitet von DiRT E DaNO: 4/29/2016 7:15:47 AMMy Spare Change .25 has been a 2-2.5 burst kill at 335 but when i used it at 292 it was a 3 burst kill every time. Also depends on whether your enemy has max armor or not
-
Nope I was 334 loosing gunfights against 314 characters
-
It definitely makes a difference depending on weapon. For example. My boolean occasionally hits 65 or 66 on a headshot. And that equates to alot of 3 hit kills....
-
The only times I notice a difference in IB or ToO is when my shoulder charge do not 1hk higher light levels
-
I've done as low as 68 damage per headshot on my then 219 cocytus using titan, but i guess enemy armor also came into play too, my hunter never did less than 71 at around 224+.
-
Yes and no, no matter what, you won't really notice a difference or at least not a HUGE one. But it matters for your rewards and say your like 10-15 light lower then your opponent, you'll only do like, .5% less damage.
-
1 AntwortenLight level never matter. Evidence: first Iron Banner and second Iron Banner Level 4's with Khvostov were killing level 26+. They then made the requirement 20+ to join, but didn't really do much beyond that. Damage stayed the same.

The endgame rewards. I was a 332 dropping 334-335 light gear. When I was 333 I got guaranteed 335 light gear. That might've just been my luck though but I never got a 334.

35 AntwortenBearbeitet von Vizard: 4/27/2016 12:18:10 PMNope. I killed many 335 while wearing full VOG gear and weapons. The only thing Y2 was my ghost XD

290 is the cutoff. Below you get a disadvantage and if your above it's all the same
-
305+ and you're good
-
I've been shoulder charging at 317 light and at least 80% of the time it didn't get the kill, with the enemy having just a sliver of health. I don't know if max armor builds can survive it since I last played in January, but I dont think they could.
-
I'm not sure that it was ever a thing really. Maybe back then during year one, it might've made some difference. Now it looks like anyone at 290 light or higher can take on anybody. Is such parity an good thing in a game mode where the strongest are supposed to dominate in IB?
-
The only thing pointless here is this thread.

1 AntwortenThe only thing that matters is your skill level.
-
Only when they are shooting you and they're lower level and kill you or when they're s higher level and turn around and one shot you
or something about lag and your mother and whatever salty insults online gaming causes

lol
3 AntwortenYes. Take Telesto into Iron Banner as a 335. You will get many kills with an occasional double or triple down. Then take Telesto into regular crucible. The difference is absolutely noticeable.
-
It's not. Win or lose you still get the end game drop. Plus one of the weekly bounties is based on kills by weapon type. The other is matches played and won, which you will need some help with (the wins). Saving those to the end will get you some serious points. Daily's are not too difficult. Now that we got past the should I even try, we can talk about light. I got an almost max stability answering chord that was doing 23 to the head. I was barely winning 1 on 1 battles with it at 310. Got a hatchet at 329 with an awful roll so it went straight to my chord. Now I'm doing 27 to the head and I'm consistently getting double downs with it. Those 4 extra points makes a world of difference. I played a couple of hours yesterday and I got squat for drops, but the one drop I did get was worth it.

1 AntwortenNot to a significant extent. If your light difference is 10-20 theres really no difference. Some minor things but hardly noticeable. Only a fool would jump into IB at 290> light
-
1 AntwortenAgreed. I've found that as a 332 I can kill people of my level fairly easy but when someone is 315 or below they seem to take more rounds to kill. Very weird.
