As it stands, warlocks are objectively the best class. Why is this? They have abilities that translate extremely well in both pvp and pve. Lets just take a quick look at why the claim i just made is true.
Stormcaller: in pve, the is one of the best add clearing supers. The chaining abilities, along with the blinding effect of landfall can be very effective. Along with this, you can equip the right perks so that you will always have a grenade or melee ready to be used.
In pvp, stormcaller is considered one of the best supers, with its grenades (mainly the deluge grenade) being quite potent.
Sunsinger: in pve, we all know why sunsinger is good. Self res. It is extremely rare to see a sunsinger run any thing but self res. In pvp, a radiant skin set up allows for increased survivability and with firebolt grenades, you can clear a field of foes.
Voidwalker: the recent buff to voidwalker has pushed it to too tier. The grenade recharge is now fast enough to allow for a grenade every 4 seconds if you merely hit an enemy with your melee, or if you kill one with your grenade. Combine nova bomb with bloom and you can clear a decent amount of adds as well. In pvp, voidwalker is pretty much the same, as scatter grenades can oneshot, and if they do oneshot, you will get a grenade back in 4 seconds.
Now, am i saying warlocks are overpowered? NO! They are fine! But, the other subclasses are lack luster, for the reason that not every subclass is always viable. Warlocks dont have this problem. Every single subclass is viable no matter the circumstances.
How can we fix this? We cant take the bungo route of "NERF ALL THE THINGS!" We just cant. What we can do, it get buffs for the other lack luster subclasses to allow them to all be viable in both pvp and pve.
First off: Buff all super damage in pve by at least 100%, preferably 200% to 400%. By simply buffing super damage. This is so simple. Make all minions of the darkness take (x) more damage. Same thing happened to shotguns.
Lets start with hunters:
Gunslinger is a top tier pvp class, with golden gun being a great super. In pve, golden gun is useless, and even with celestial nighthawk, it doesnt deal enough damage to truly warrant its usage. So, my suggestions
Increase GG damage in pve by earlier stated damage %
remove circle of life perk, or buff it greatly. my suggestion: make it either "when in golden gun, throwing knife hits score increased time". Or, as earlier said, just completely remove this perk.
Increase GG time by ~2-3 seconds, remove the time decrease when using symbiotic helmet thingy
Allow all knife headshots to proc a default bleeding effect, the burning knife perk is slightly reduced to compensate
Make keyhole default, replace with a new perk.
Allow for precision damage when using golden gun.
Bladedancer:
FIX THE FING HIT DETECTION BUNGO!
as it stands, blade dancer is meh. It sucks in pve, a la the super damage buff. In pvp, its....meh. If hit detection is fixed, it will be much better
My suggestions for Bd:
Increase arc bolt grenade damage
Increase time gained from encore
Increase invisibility time by 2-3 seconds for each invisibility ability.
I dont know what else to do for it really. Any hunters willing to give their ideas?
Nightstalker:
It is doing its job. Its a support class that a viable pvp class, allowing for multiple perks that buff the character in positive ways.
Decrease the time it takes to tether targets
Increase time while using quiver
Make predator deal a slight bit of damage when it traps
Again, im not a hunter, so im not entirely sure what the class needs. Im open to suggestions
Titans:
Oh boy, here we go.
Sunbreaker:
Bungo! WHY U DO DIS! All sunbreakers needed was an armor reduction, and maybe a cooldown to regen, but not the slower hammer speed, reduced blast radius, and other things
Buff back the HoS blast radius, and remove all but the armor and regen cooldown nerfs.
Reduce the amount of energy needed to suncharge
Fix suncharge hit detection
Strikers: Strikers are in a decent place currently. They are not in need of a nerf (contrary to what the forum believes). They have arguably one of the best grenades, and quite a good neutral game. They are powerful in pvp, and with a damage increase to FoH, they would be very good in pve. My suggestions are very alight buffs.
Increase the amount of charge gained when using amplify
Increase the time flash bags last, or make them last longer with the perk that increases aftershock timings.
Defender:
Easily the best pve class, defenders fall short in pvp. (Pretty much the exact opposite of strikers)
Increase grenade and melee recharge speed while in WoD
Allow force-barrier to stack with blessings of light
Cause any enemy inside your bubble to take 210 void damage when WoD is first activated. This is simply an area clear, so that you dont place down and get killed instantly, since there were 3 shotgunners next to you
What do you guys think?
Edit: we are trending :)

3 AntwortenWay, way TL;DR. Sorry. Lol. What I gathered though was warlocks are the only supers useful in both PvP and PvE...? Idk...I always see "need Titan" or "need hunter" on LFG, never "warlock."

8 AntwortenI think that blade dancer needs to be faster in super. Right now, when I activate blade dance, 90% of the time, I am immediately killed by another super ( mostly FoH and nova bomb). Blade dancer needs to be able to escape the blast radius of the other supers. Also blade dance takes several hits to stop another super, except golden gun, and any other super can kill a blade dancer in one hit ( or in like half of a second for stormcallers).

1 AntwortenI agree with all changes here

1 AntwortenYep supers definitely don't feel super in pve. When it takes three gg shots or a full arc blade super to take down one major it seems pretty worthless.

1 AntwortenThis is how you start a discussion about it, in a very mature fashion.

10 AntwortenBearbeitet von DaJuan Hoonoks: 4/25/2016 5:19:52 PMI think every class serves its purpose. Titans are grunts, their purpose is up close dominance. Hunters are agile and quick and more like Rogues or assassins and do better from a distance, if they get close then they need to use invisibility or the element of surprise. And Warlocks are just a combination, they aren't the fastest or the strongest, they just lie somewhere in the middle, and are probably best suited for solo. That's how they are supposed to work. Hunters and Warlocks can't 1 hit you with a thunderstrike or a knife when the opponent is at full health and and kill them, the Titan's shoulder charge can. Warlocks also can't suppress other Supers like the Titan or Hunter can. I also don't think that a Nova Bomb has the same blast radius as the Titan fist thing does either. They aren't quick enough to evade a golden gun or the hammers, at least not for long. Are they balanced? Well yes I would say they are because they aren't great but they don't suck. They fall right in the middle, they don't have the best offense nor do they have the best defense. I do think however they should do a better job of explaining this before characters are created so you can choose the class that best fits your play style. I probably would have been better off as a Titan because my play style is extremely aggressive, but I had no idea what was going on and chose a Warlock because I thought they looked the coolest and let's face it, they have the best name. Titan is a cool name too though.

Bearbeitet von salmk8890: 4/25/2016 4:19:52 PMI think Defender's effectiveness in PVP is entirely dependent on one's team. For sure, it's not the ideal 1 on 1 class, as it is extremely tilted towards support. But I've seen games completely go the other way when a team knows how to play around a Defender. Your Sunbreaker buff is spot on. Same with your Striker idea. In addition to your arc bolt buff and making hit detections...work? for Bladedancers, I think that blink should activate more rapidly than it does. Still keep the weapon readiness slow, or maybe even slow it down slightly further, but the blink activation is too long. Gunslingers should do more PVE damage when activating Golden Gun. Does the subclass have worthless perks? Yes, but every subclass has worthless perks. Circle of life might be pointless, but there are other skills in that tree that are fine. I would just increase the orb production from Golden Gun kills. Then it is a viable PVE class. Warlocks are fine, like you said.
