Never, in ALL my years of gaming, have I ever encountered something so unanimously hated on by a community.
Skill-Based Matchmaking.
Granted, the game has numerous problems. I'll ignore all of those for now. SBMM has proven, time and time again, to be the constant plague of PvP. I've seen COUNTLESS posts asking and begging for its removal. And yet, after months of "tweaking the matchmaking," it is still blatantly obvious that it exists, and is consistently ruining the experience. Unbelievably horrible connections, the constant sweaty matches, and the solo-players-against-full-teams-in-iron-banner because of SBMM is pathetic and inexcusable. This is YOUR game, Bungie. The community has been in agreement for MONTHS that this is a problem and simply needs to be removed, or at the very least, DRASTICALLY changed so that it is no longer relevant.
I'm still in disbelief how this is even still a thing. Remember Black Ops 3, when they tried implementing SBMM in? The backlash from the community was loud and clear, and Treyarch, in response, took it back out within a matter of days. YOURS has been causing issues for the game for months, the community has been voicing their opinions on it loudly, and still, nothing has been done. It is simply pathetic that no positive action has been taken regarding the situation, and that you don't listen to the clear voice of your community. It's disrespectful and disgraceful.
You need to fix this, Bungie. We're past the point of asking politely. The community DEMANDS that you remove SBMM from Destiny.

4 AntwortenA lot of people love SBMM. I love a challenge in the crucible. I don't want games with complete noobs on both team and then wreck them. Yes, it would be fun for the first few games, but I want a challenge. SBMM is a good thing. It is almost never laggy for me. I have a wireless connection too. Stop the hate. Not everyone wants SBMM to leave.

Signed. Bungie needs to listen to this and stop listening to the minority who still want it in.

Bearbeitet von Kd: 4/26/2016 3:06:25 AM+1. We jumped back on to have a few games, first match played like a DREAM. Lag wasn't even noticeable, hits made their mark and we all had a good time. EVERY MATCH AFTER THAT FOR THE ENTIRE NIGHT WAS HORRID. Especially so for those with good connections, as those players went down without a hitch. Then someone playing from saturn would come in teleporting all over the place, then you just died. followed by an animation of them running through the door and titan smashing 3 seconds after you waiting for the respawn timer. AND THEN THEY DIE. I'd rather be taken apart piece by piece by an entire fireteam of absolute champions that I can hit than play someone of my level that takes no damage. It's game ruining, and in all honesty I keep trying to bring friends back into the fold, and you guys are making them turn to other games every time. FIX! Only match me with local players sub 100ms ping, else DO NOT MATCH US! On another note though, even when the ping is upward of 300ms, how come deaths come 3-4 seconds later? Isn't that.... fashionably late even by bad latency standards? Those ones completely Vex me.

A game that runs on a Peer to Peer system does not have a place for skill based match making enough said

1 AntwortenI was doing my weekly shax bounties last night with a less skilled friend. My friend mostly got 0.5 KDs all evening, this wasn't much fun for him, he'd been getting 2.0 KDs most of the day until teaming up with me. We still managed to win all our games but one, where we loaded into a Control game in progress, and SBMM split us up, with my friend joining the winning team, while I joined the losing team. Never had that happen before other than when joining a friend already in a game. Only the other day, I tried to help a couple of friends in crucible, only SBMM led to them getting 0.16 and 0.18 KDs, the best way I could help them was to not play with them at all, just how illogical is that in a team focused game? Moral of this story, SBMM punishes friends of different skill levels that play together. And I'm not even a 1%er ... far from it in fact.

Why are you complaining about constant sweaty matches?
-
Here's my biggest gripe with Crucible, I'm always, always put on the losing team. I'd love to check my winning percentage, I'd bet it's in the 20's. Sure I'll do well, best on my team most games, but that's not saying much. This one game I just played, I was 18/13 I think, and literally everyone else on my team was below 0.5. Meanwhile the other team had two guys over 2 and everyone else over 1.3. We got crushed of course, as usual. If that's what SBMM is and I'm no expert, I want it gone. P.s. I love the PoE update

4 AntwortenRemember when Bungie had quite the MM system with H3? It wasn't perfect, but it worked greatly most of the time. Had separate Social and Ranked playlists, had a ranking number system, and in that system it would match you usually within 10 levels, above and below your rank, so you got people on your skill level for the most part. It gave meaning and gave you a reason to keep playing, wasn't for rewards, it was to flaunt and show off your standing in game.

You realize the idiot community screamed for SBMM .... Time and time again the community shows they know nothing about what is "needed"
-
SBMM has ruined my interest in Crucible. Whereas before I could be put with anyone, now I get put against people who are much better than me and with a team of glue-munching helmet wearers to help me out. Why would I waste my time trying to win when I get steamrolled regularly?
-
1 AntwortenWow you are raging hard on this. Its a game not like. If you dont like it dont play. I really dont understand why its the end of the world when people dont like 1 part of the game
-
I would prefer skill based match making...if the connection issue wasnt such a problem. Almost every match, AT LEAST one person either on my team or the other team is red baring. Until they find a way to remedy how bad the connectivity is I dont think it should be sbmm.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Deadmennwalking: 4/25/2016 10:03:16 PMWRONG WRONG WRONG The community does NOT DEMAND the removal of SBMM. The community is NOT finding that SBMM is consistantly ruining the experience. Does constantly sweaty matches mean you have can't just rush around laughing whilst to stomp lesser skilled players? News flash. For lesser skilled players all matches can be viewed as sweaty and full of try hards. It might surprise you but lesser skilled players also enter pvp to win and have fun. If you are as good as you think you are or your k/d suggests then suck it up princess and prove you really are that good. Getting a high k/d whilst smashing lesser skilled players does not make you good. Consistantly maintaining a high k/d against similar skilled players makes you deserve that k/d.
-
So you don't like a challenge? I would rather play against players at or above my skill level. That's the only way you or i will truly get better at the game. However, i do agree that there are lag issues with SBMM and solo randoms going up against fireteams is definitely frustrating.

5 AntwortenFunny thing is that not so many weeks ago I've criticized someone saying more or less the same. There were rage and fire and forks in that thread... Everybody hated SBMM. Seems the table has turned this time. For me it's a clear sign that before the last update only the "elitist" player base was still playing destiny. The update brought back the average player base, and finally the level of salt in the forums is going down...

I remember in year 1 when you wanted to have a competitive game you would go to salvage.

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von A Blues fan: 4/26/2016 4:40:12 PMHow is it unanimous? I support SBMM. Nothing worse than a new player taking their first steps in the crucible only to be wrecked by experienced players time and again. That sort of thing puts people off. I've got good internet so rarely get a laggy game so have no problem with SBMM. The reason you think it's unanimous is because there's a vocal minority on here who like to complain about everything. Bungie need to realise this. Edit: Apparently I don't get much lag because I can match with such a wide pool of players due to my average K/D. Top players only match against a much smaller pool of players and that brings the problem of laggy connections. I can sympathise with you guys if that is the case, sorry :(
-
Hey look a sweaty who's complaining about playing against other sweaties. Praise SBMM

2 AntwortenYeah !! "The community DEMANDS that you remove "Crucible" (aka PvP) from Destiny !! Gone all lag . . salt . . nerf's . . . return of the FUN !

Bearbeitet von ImHere4URmom25: 4/26/2016 2:03:40 PMim confused by your stats bro.. according to destiny trials report you have been flawless 43 times, have a decent elo and a 1.68 k/d in trials.. whats the issue? your winning percentage is crap but again whats the issue? if you want to play worse competition git bad kid
