Never understood why people take this seriously. Many think a high k/d makes you good when in reality it means absolutely nothing. Objectives, assists and teamwork determine a players skill level, not just how many kills you can get. Time and time again I see players who quit their games while doing bad just to keep their k/d high. It's pathetic, they just wanna look cool out something.
In reality there is no way to tell how good a player is, people play in very different ways. K/d, spm and w/l ratio mean absolutely nothing in determining how good a player is. W/l only matters if you play with a team against other skilled players. Some people get luckier than others and end up playing easier players, while others may find very skilled players and die a lot.
There are far too many factors to determine the skill of any player. Having a higher k/d does not make you any better than people below you, for all you know they could be helping the team out in many ways other than kills.

Bearbeitet von Auttumnnnn: 4/25/2016 7:40:37 AMIt's somewhat similar to why guys care about the size of their penis, except one is more attached to one's personal self and perceived value than the other. People like having numbers that "prove" they're valuable and competent, because those numbers are the best they can get in the search for "proof" of their own value. Numbers cannot be argued. There is no opinion with numbers. It's all about self-esteem and validation. This also applies to how much money they have, how many followers they have, how many likes they get, how much they weigh, how tall they are, how many people they've slept with, etc.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Doctor Cox: 4/25/2016 6:35:00 AMYou do realize that in TDM K/D is what matters most right. And I'll give you one guess as to what the most played game mode is in most shooters. The win loss ratio is also important if you will lose more games than you win then you obviously aren't good or else you would win more games than you lose it's basic logic. Once you get good enough your team can be average and you'll still be able to carry. Absolutely horrible players aren't common enough to make up for a negative win loss ratio.

Bearbeitet von BLEEHOW97: 4/25/2016 6:54:38 AMMe personally I just can't help it. I can't be ok with having more deaths than kills. I can't just play to play and not care about k/d. I don't know why it's just how I am. I don't ever care in other games that don't have k/d and honestly I wish k/d never existed. Id probably enjoy these games more if that were the case

5 AntwortenI'll keep it short. If I'm dying more than I'm killing, I'm not having fun.
