The Raids need to add optional player matchmaking, at least for normal mode.
-
Nope ! People quit a lot Would be ridiculous
-
I still think in game LFG is a better way to go for Raids and ToO. Maybe do like they did with this release of PoE and have it for the NM Raids like you said and that would allow players to take a team that they worked well with in normal up to hard mode. I honestly believe that if they added matchmaking for HM or ToO, it would cause more problems than it would solve.

18 AntwortenHasn't this sort of thing been said to death, both for and against? What I really see is a lack of a thought out plan to make it work, most people just assume the standard matchmaking which really won't work for a raid. Let's spice the raid matchmaking up a little bit, add some of the LFG elements which make LFG work. Allow you to open a raid up to public matchmaking with a settings screen, with the understanding that the more constraints you add, the longer it'll take to find your group. Some ideas for settings when you open up your raid group to public: - Minimum Light Level: (290-335) - Raids Completed: (None/Normal/Hard), has the character previously completed, Destiny has to store that content somewhere, at the very least if they've earned the emblems - Weapons: Any / ToM / Spindle / Both in inventory - Classes: Titan (1-5), Warlocks (1-5), Hunters (1-5) - Exceptions: (1-5), # of players allowed which don't meet the above requirements This would allow you to get the experience you are looking for in your groups, while also allowing people to help others who don't have the experience, so it's not an all doomed group. I personally use LFG - it's way to easy to do, but as many have said, for those who don't use it, give them the in game option to be able to entertain the content.

They have already buried that request. Get over it. Use lfg sites

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von bill_westie: 4/22/2016 8:30:25 PMIf you've noticed that it takes longer to match into strikes and pvp or you get put into matches already in progress. Lag because pvp matchmaking has to find guardians from other countries just to fill your 6 player team. It's because there are less players out there. Go to Court of Oryx. Empty. If you're a solo player then you are excluded from Trials, Nightfalls, PoE challenge mode, Raids some bounties too insist on fireteams. There is not a lot for them to do, so bored of grinding the same old strikes they are leaving. IN DROVES... How do people not see that the more guys playing the better the experience will be for all of us. This isn't going to happen unless we give solo players something to do and that means matchmaking. I saw one post on these forums that complained the destiny was dead because he couldn't find a team to do the raid after hours of searching the forums and lfg sites. Sad, but we're bringing on ourselves.

10 AntwortenWonder how many times bungie has to say no before it actually gets through to these idiots heads
-
36 AntwortenI think this would not work. Think about the number of people that would just leave, like they do in crucible and strikes.
-
2 AntwortenIt would be nice if you could set options like: starting a team or joining one, light level range, allowing players with or without completions. Just to give some control over who you play with. Or even a social area to go to when you are looking for a team with sections for each raid. Then you can look at ppls gear and try and make a team of 6.

I can see how this meeting went..... How can we get the maximum ammount of people to buy this game? Oooh I know block content unless you have 5 other friends to play it with you. That way we'll force people to get at least a couple of people they know to buy the game also. Muuwahaha.
-
Unfortunately it's not going to happen because Bungie is into taking the easy way out whenever possible.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von D1eThx: 4/21/2016 2:02:27 PMWhat is the difference between matchmade players and players meeting up in lfg? None. So implement this shit througout the fcking game before no one gives a -blam!- anymore. Honestly they think their content is that special and elite. Jesus it's really not. You're not Warcraft in 2006.

15 AntwortenBungie won't add it. Make your own fireteam.
-
Nope that is the last thing it needs
-
How about an in game search function, or status icon indicating what you are looking for.
-
1 AntwortenThe only way they would add this is if they changed the raid so it is essentially a 6 man strike. I just don't think 6 random people with no communication would be able to complete the raid as it is now.
-
14 AntwortenOptional matchmaking would not work because then you would complain about the "scrubs" you would be matched with
-
This shit has got to stop y'all been crying for this for almost 2 years if and this is a big if they ever add MM for raids it won't come until destiny 2
-
4 AntwortenAs someone who has experienced matching in The Division's endgame content, which has a fraction of the complexity of a Destiny raid, I agree with Bungie's reticence to implement it. MM in The Division is a terribly inconsistent experience overall, and the casual players who MM would purportedly help find teams are the ones who are kicked from groups or abandoned by better geared players, or populated with bad players who can't survive the first pull. But because MM exists, LFG sites are rather barren so I'm often forced to use MM rather than being able to create my own group.
-
1 AntwortenNo just no. The lfg groups are bad enough. Terrible idea and would never ever join a MM group
-
11 AntwortenImagine a group full of ppl who don't know what to do at the start of the raid. That is what your asking for in raid matchmaking. A whole group of randoms who thought they could get matched up with ppl who have done the raid but instead get 5 other randoms and your now stuck at the first part for a few hours. If you get past that then good luck with totems especially with randoms. No offense but this is a really bad idea.

Most people agree with this sentiment. The problem is that Bungo doesn't. Until one of them gets their heads out their own ass, it's not going to happen.

I totally agree with the matchmaking...I have been through most of the raid in a fire team I was invited into. Like most cases there is to much rudeness and hate from the "elite gamers". I love playing in the crucible but I do get upset that some take the time to message me and call me hateful names. I mean seriously its match making! I have never played a game with this many angry people. I'm a 47 yr old gamer that doesn't get a lot of play time nor did I grow up on video games, but I do my best. I'm not so much a noob as it is that's as gud as I can get lol. But I never rage and quit even when some like to be jerks. I'm not the best but would like the option of a different way to get into the raid and other activities. I have earned my sleeper, class weapons and exotic sword by myself except where match-making was involved on the end quest's. My question is...How would match-making being available to others affect them in any way? Me being to lazy to find a fire-team is not an answer. Been there done that. I would solo the raid like I have every other quest (all three classes) if it were possible. Plus, match-making would really work well with my "doing it when I feel like it" schedule.

Try joining a clan. I run one and we run the raid every week. It also is a great way to make some lifetime friends!
-
P.S. Wasting 30 minutes to an hour, sitting in the pre-Raid lobby, scouring LFG for suitable players is the worst. Amiright?
