PSA: Don't use KD in an argument
I see it on these forums all the time.
[b]Person A[/b]: [i]*says anything*[/i]
[b]Person B[/b] (who disagrees but can't coherently articulate his feelings): [i]Your KD sucks, kid.[/i]
That's [u]not[/u] how you argue, just saying.
EDIT: This game is hella casual. Who cares about KD in Destiny?

EDIT 3: To those commenting on my K/D, which is admittedly negative, you have missed the point entirely. Bad stats in this game don't matter. Good stats don't matter. Only one thing matters: fun. This is not my opinion; this is the way the game was made. It was designed for and marketed to casual players. Anyone who treats it like, CSGO, per say, is delusional.

4 AntwortenThe guys with high k/d don't suck in PVE (never). A guy with very low k/d is never a beast in PVE (but can be good). Just a fact. "I cannot take the gaze!.." "I missed my tether!.." "I missed my knight!" "The boomer killed me.."

I let my 6 year old brother play pvp most of year one, the KD then was around .65, now that I started playing pvp a little more, I brought it up to a .9 and it keeps on rising and I do fairly well in every game, getting top 2 whenever I'm not just shitting around with my friends. Does that mean I'm a horrible player and I suck and I need to git gud?

well your argument is invalid because my K/D sucks so therefore you are right but I agree stats don't matter as long as you are having fun I honestly couldn't care if I had a 0.01 K/D at least I have fun

KD is basically a representation of your survival rate. If I'm in trials where all that matters is surviving, yeah, KD is kinda important. And if people have a high KD because all they do is pub stomp, then they're not actually good and you'll see em crack when it comes down to the clutch. But other players are just good, and they enjoy crucible. But whenever a "bad" player complains about crucible, no crap they don't like it, they suck. Yeah I suppose it sucks to suck.

The only thing that is close to standardized is PvE considering everyone plays through the same mechanics and enemies. PvP stats in Destiny are a joke. Go play CSGO if you want to brag about your KD.

Anyone with a good k/d just shows how well they can survive. So typically snipers and players that have a fireteam watching their back generally have a good k/d. By no means does having bad stats invalidate an opinion. It's probably the only thing above all else that annoys me on these forums. An opinion can't be wrong, that's what separates it from fact.

I totally agree a while back I did a bunch of games with friends where you would only dance. I know it didn't do that much to my kd but still I hate it when people judge based on kd.
