I've just been feeling lately like Nintendo is starting to fizzle out. Barely any games coming, the games that do come out are subpar usually, making crappy spin off games, consoles not selling well, shortages on products, etc. It makes me sad to see all these things happening and makes me kinda worried/disappointed with them. Is it just me?

They're going to be reignited by the NX.

Nintendo's handheld game is grade-A solid as can be. Their console game, however, seems to have been going downhill since the Nintendo 64.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von SuperStormDroid: 4/21/2016 7:58:40 PMIf Nintendo falls, the others will too. Because let's face it, PlayStation and Xbox would be nothing without them. Or maybe, AAA gaming will stagnate without Nintendo.

I like them - they keep trying to innovate and break the mold with their consoles. I'm currently not a fan but I really only play halo now

They need to let rockstar make a mario game for ps and xbone
-
They have a lot of great games and tons of exclusives. I think they just need to sort out what to do with their hardware.
-
Slowly. I don't think they'll ever die, they just need to quit with the gimmicky shit if they want more customers.

Wiiu has bayonetta 2 Best console ever.
-
They have some great games, then the other games are... meh.
-
Nintendo has some of my favorite games of all time The wii u just failed horribly which is one reason there so quiet. The 3ds is great

4 AntwortenLet's be real, Pokemon is what's keeping them in the game.

2 AntwortenMixed feelings. Would absolutely love to have Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. But won't buy a console that gets 1 maybe 2 good games a yeas and misses out on everything else. I know Nintendo fans won't agree, but i'd like to see them make their games for other consoles. I know many would love to play their games, but don't want to have their console.

6 AntwortenJust wait till the NX comes out, my bet is that like how the original Wii made motion controls mainstream whatever the NX does will do the same thing.

5 AntwortenNew console comes out this year.
-
I wish they would just stick to handhelds and then develop for the other consoles. With a much lager consumer base and none of the godawful margins from selling consoles, it's a win-win.
-
Nah. They're doing their own thing, imo. Let's not pretend every single company is willing to bend over backwards and suck us off at all times. At most I'd call this another rough patch, but people will literally be playing Mario Kart and Mario Party forever. Most Nintendo games will always sell for the nice mix of fun and nostalgia, and people will always be interested to see how their old games and characters progress as time does.

Their console market is all but dead right now. But their mobile market is stronger than ever. And when they release the NX, expect some serious releases.
-
2 AntwortenI feel like they would be a significantly stronger force right now if they didn't call their new console the "Wii U". Most of the people who bought wii's weren't gamers and had no idea the Wii U was actually a different product.
-
1 AntwortenI think Nintendo still has a bright future ahead of them.

16 AntwortenOnly way to get a decent RPG now

2 AntwortenI think Nintendo are in a strange place at the moment. In the past, it would be reasonable to assume that their target market was a younger audience but now do they continue on it that fashion to bring in new fans or should they switch their focus to bringing back past fans who no longer buy their consoles? With that being said, Nintendo's portfolio of first party titles is phenomenal, they are all major sellers and that is something that they have over the likes of Sony and Microsoft. Plus the 3DS is an excellent handheld console. At this point it might be an interesting debate to discuss whether or not Nintendo should cease making hardware and instead introduce their software onto Microsoft and Sony platforms.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Gagoosey: 4/20/2016 1:21:45 AMIf they make Luigis Mansion 3, Mario Galaxy 3, and a "good" paper mario game they can be saved! Also Earthbound 4.
Also not the new paper mario/ splatoon game, that looks very dissapointing.
Nintendo will never die as long as Pokemon exists. Just merchandising rights could probably float Nintendo. Supposedly the rights to a live action movie started a severe bidding war between the three big in Hollywood.

I'm still hooked on Mario Maker, Smash and Splatoon. Also about to start Xenoblade Chronicles X this week, so I won't have time or the money for Star Fox anytime soon.
