Ammo nerf is a catastrophy for PvE
Dear Bungie,
Thank you so much for ruining my PvE experience. The slap in the face is even more painful as I was really excited to run the new PvE content, as a mainly PvE player. What's the problem? Ammo. Reduced ammo, because of PvP whiners, and your inability to separate PvE from PvP.
The thing I hated the most in Y1 PoE was that I was always out of ammo. Try once to pop an ammo on PS3 and you'll understand.
Right now with Y2 PoE, it's exactly the same, even worse. Shotgun total ammo is 14. MG is 88 with boots (was 157 before!), that is 2 clips and a half. I just completed a PoE 41: I ran out of heavy and special ammo in the middle of the third round. Heavy never dropped again after that, I completed the activity without it (oh yeah, there's a bounty asking to kill ennemies with heavy weapons, how ironic). So either you lied about the increased drop rate, or you just messed it up like the Crimson Doubles ghost shell drop. And even if the ennemies were dropping more ammo, trying to go pick them up in the middle of 37 Taken Vex is only suicide.
Such low consideration for PvE players is frustrating and hard to understand, as Destiny was mainly a PvE game. Was...

Ive noticed alot more ammo dropping and dont have a problem. Get armor with ur special weapon ammo

I hate to disagree with OP but I have to... I also want agree with him! When I was playing PoE with my Tamar D with surplus it was green and purple rain (Prince pun intended)! But as soon as I switched off surplus the ammo drought was real... I only got heavy when Variks gifted it to me!

1 AntwortenWhen the ammo is surrounded by enemies, that's when you call on your friendly neighborhood Stormcaller, still pretty potent against adds despite the nerf to Transcendence. Just follow me, I got it covered.

I wish they would have left the ammo alone. Especially on the PoE exotics.

1 AntwortenLast night was the first time I ever ran out of ammo completely doing a strike, was surprised but also able to find more after looking for a sec.

I've noticed the ammo dip when running patrols where there are not large concentrations of enemies, but POE hasn't been a problem so far for ammo. Wasted a couple of synths thinking I would need them just to kill two or three goblins that exploded into a shower of special ammo packs.

1 AntwortenOn more than one occasion last night while doing PoE, by the time I hit Round 3 or 4 the Special and Heavy ammo just gave up on dropping. It's not that fun using a Primary on an Ultra, and it's even worse when Special ammo does drop and it's guarded by Majors. Unnecessary deaths and two wipes were had playing with the randoms last night because of everyone (myself included) making mad dashes to go collect ammo. Which is funny, because we were incredibly mobile, and only took up shop when we hit the boss fight. I'm not really seeing more Special or Heavy ammo drop, and you'd think I would given that this is PoE we're talking about, where everyone is constantly moving around. The drop rates haven't really changed, as far as I've noticed. Should have just left ammo reserves alone for PvE, just like that update where they buffed shotguns in PvE only.

Primary? What about the 2 and a half mags of ammo they cut out of my favourite Special for PvE? Meanwhile, my PvP Special still holds a literal 200 rounds. Didn't solve much of anything and made my life much harder. Ever had to DPS Oryx with an Auto Rifle? After the update, I definitely have.

I've not had any issue keeping special ammo. Heavy ammo seems to drop at the same rate it always has(for me). I leave more special ammo on the ground than I could ever use. You must run a special weapon as your primary

Primary ammo had always been an issue since TK came out. Just did PoE and had to burn primary synthesis. At least give us an opportunity to buy those things again if you are going to continue to change things. Bungie do you not think that the grind is not enough. Your pushing me further and further away. I am almost to the point of quitting all together. Your game is not fun anymore it's like a job and I hate my job. I need a raise Bungie.

Stop whining about very insignificant problems. And really? You run out in poe? It's horde mode and you can actually move around in the arena. If anything it should only be a problem in the raid, which it isn't.

14 AntwortenA lower ammo amount has no effect really. Fire your weapons get kills. Lower ammo should never stop you from getting more kills. If anything it should help you, make you more determined to do your best and do all that you can before your ammo is depleted.

So the PvE is to build up your armor and character so that you can PvP... shocking. I had plenty of special and heavy drop all night. Killed one group of mobs with a super and literally there were 15 boxes of special.
