Dear Bungie,
Thank you so much for ruining my PvE experience. The slap in the face is even more painful as I was really excited to run the new PvE content, as a mainly PvE player. What's the problem? Ammo. Reduced ammo, because of PvP whiners, and your inability to separate PvE from PvP.
The thing I hated the most in Y1 PoE was that I was always out of ammo. Try once to pop an ammo on PS3 and you'll understand.
Right now with Y2 PoE, it's exactly the same, even worse. Shotgun total ammo is 14. MG is 88 with boots (was 157 before!), that is 2 clips and a half. I just completed a PoE 41: I ran out of heavy and special ammo in the middle of the third round. Heavy never dropped again after that, I completed the activity without it (oh yeah, there's a bounty asking to kill ennemies with heavy weapons, how ironic). So either you lied about the increased drop rate, or you just messed it up like the Crimson Doubles ghost shell drop. And even if the ennemies were dropping more ammo, trying to go pick them up in the middle of 37 Taken Vex is only suicide.
Such low consideration for PvE players is frustrating and hard to understand, as Destiny was mainly a PvE game. Was...

I'm bumping myself because this reduction in reserve ammo is really really really annoying! Really Bungie, Cozmo or whoever will never read this because you don't care, what's the point except artificially raising the difficulty of PvE? In a very stupid and irritating manner, by reducing ammo in a shooting game (in which the main goal is, yes, shooting aliens). It changed nothing in PvP, so why keeping your position for PvE??? Just give us back our ammo.
-
It's Friday night and I'm not playing. Ran out of primary and special weapon ammo and never had heavy, so I'm done. A shooter without ammo isn't a game, it's work. I'm going to play Gears of War again. They get that you need bullets for your weapons. Bungie is run by idiots.
-
The only issue I have seen is that I can't keep enough ammo in my inventory for high rate of fire machine guns now like the super good advice. I will either go through a drought of heavy ammo or be flooded by the purple crates at very unnecessary times.
-
1 AntwortenHonestly. It is a little upsetting. But you guys are letting it get to you more than you should. There have been games where I run out of ammo fast, and others where I can't use the special/heavy ammo drops fast enough. While The capacity limit is a little vexing, I don't think that the nerf is big enough to quit the game over, or even openly complain about it in general. You all are blowing this out of proportion, but that is what the forum community does anyways.........People need to just relax and enjoy the game.

110% agree. Your lame ass excuse of keeping the pve and pve experiences on the same level is a sham. You listen to all the crucibabies and let them have their way and it ruins the pve experience. Time to put your ego's away and admit that this philosophy is very very very wrong
-
Yep. Totally agree here. I hadnt played much after the update dropped beyond the daily and no ammo problem. But I did the PoE 41/42 runs last night....crap that was ridiculous. Its great running around with 0 ammo because Suros is empty and my Party Crasher now only holds 4 rounds and 0 bricks anywhere.

2 AntwortenAnyone who disagrees because "PvE is easy" or "I find plenty of ammo" is missing the point. Let me give you a "what if"... What if Bungie agreed with you, and decided that the PvE content was too easy. People are soloing Oryx! They're cruising through PoE! So, they cut the amount of special and heavy ammo for all weapons drastically. So now, your sniper holds 8 rounds total (4 in mag, 4 in reserve), and your machine gun gets a single magazine. Rockets? You get 1 rocket. How would that affect your PvP play in the crucible? Do you think it would be fair for them to impact the crucible in such a way? PvE players respond with "crucible is just running in circles and respawning, you don't need special ammo". I'm guessing there would be an uproar, and rightly so. So, PvP players - before you type out your knee-jerk response and dismiss the issue, put yourself in the other person's shoes. What if it was your gameplay being affected not because your gameplay was imbalanced, but simply because parts of the game you have no interest in were.

4 AntwortenYou're the one whining. Sure I'm mostly a pvp player, but I've had no trouble in challenge or the raid. And the only machine gun that got nerfed was the quillim's cause it's ammo capacity/hits to kill ratio was ridiculous.
-
2 AntwortenWe haven't even felt the full affects yet in CoE because it was small arms modified this week. My machine gun is pretty much castrated at this point. I feel like I have to use a sword to use heavy effectively in PvE.

Bump. Bungie needs to stop revolving this game around Pvp. The weapon nerfs and ammo nerfs need to be Pvp specific, it sucks in pve . I'm tired of running out of ammo, maybe they can make heavy synths more affordable. It would be nice if they would just separate Pvp from pve, or have Pvp specific weapons!!! Hey bungie not all of us care about Pvp!!!!!

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von GooglyEyedFrog: 4/13/2016 8:24:57 PMBecause I wanted to see if I could determine by what percentage Bungie had increased Special and Heavy drops in PvE and being unable to find that information I conducted a small experiment pre and post update. I did 10 runs against the same enemies, wearing the same armour( except artifact which I dismantled by mistake) and using the same primary each time. Whilst I appreciate RNG plays a part and 10 runs is probably not statistically reliable, bearing in mind that this was not conducted under laboratory conditions the results are interesting:- Pre Update Special bricks dropped. 42 Heavy bricks dropped. 7 Post update Special bricks dropped. 31 Heavy bricks dropped. 12 I would have thought that an increase in drop rate for Special should have shown but I guess not. Wonder if anyone has noticed any significant change ?

4 AntwortenIt's not even bad. People are exaggerating something shocking. I haven't noticed a difference at all.

Primary ammo has been running low on my auto and pulse rifle. Before the patch I never had to literally look for white bricks on the floor. All Im doing is scanning the floor left and right and looking at my ammo constantly. Don't make me suffer because some guy in PvP complained about machine gun/sniper players getting kill streaks. Its ridiculous already. There's a timer on those things. If you miss out on it, thats your fault. PvE always gets overuled by PvP. I enjoy both and don't even care about players having too much ammo in PvP. Just fix my ammo Bungie.
-
Agreed ammo NERF is atrocious in PvE. I thought this game was a shooter. But how do we shoot things with NO ammo!??!! My sniper now only holds 14 !! Really. For PvE 14 shots is all I get?!! Cmon Bungie. That's not fun.
-
It's not bad at all
-
Bump. Give us back our ammo, Bungie. This one was a mistake. Please correct it.
-
Honestly dumbest -blam!-ing thing bungie has ever done, it's SOOOOOOOOOOO easy to separate pvp and pve and they REFUSE to do.
-
1 AntwortenThey nerf my favorite weapon, because of PvP. They nerf my subclass, because of PvP. They nerf my ammo, because of PvP. I DON'T PLAY PVP, WHY SHOULD PVE BE PUNISHED?!!! If they do not separate PvP from PvE, there may not be any PvE players around to purchase Destiny 2.
-
I ended a level in POE with NO primary ammo and there was NONE anywhere on the floor after we killed everyone. AMMO is B R O K E N
-
5 AntwortenIll tell ya one very easy fix for this in PvE, is just shorten the timer to use synths. make it half the reset time and I guarantee all these threads would disappear. and if they made it a quick op button like L on the D-pad people would be even happier. I don't even use Emotes
-
Im so glad everyone who replied is on the same page hopefully bungo, bingo or whatever realizes they screwed up.... Badly
-
Just solo'd CoE. Ammo was an issue for most of the time. You have to move around quite a bit, and most of the enemies get dropped at close range, so there should have been copious amounts of ammo. I can't think of a better test than that. I'm sure some people are seeing buffed drops consistently. I'm sure I am not.
-
Agreed. Bungie this game is supposed to be a shooter. Ya know a game where you shoot things. Pretty damn hard to shoot things with no damn bullets. I'd like to actually use my cool special and heavy guns in PvE but apparently Bungie doesn't want me to use them. Apparently the ammo has to be cut in half. Bungie you will always amaze me how many ways you all have found to ruin this game and the fun.
-
When Juggles is on, that will be a challenge in Nightfall and POE if ammo doesnt drop. I noticed in Challenge of Elders the drop rate was low for me so far, but hopefully we see in coming weeks the situation. Perhaps Bungie wants us to make use off all the exotic weapons to suitable situation tactically.
-
10 AntwortenYeah lol. I've spent a fair bit of time in PoE just standing there telling rude jokes to my friends in the chat party because I've run out of primary and special ammo and none is dropping. I can't begin to fathom Bungie's inability to program the utter basics of their own game properly. It's a freaking first person "shooter". Shooter meaning we need to shoot stuff. We need ammo for that guys.
